  • Patent number: 4297875
Abstract: Apparatus is provided for introducing a force to be measured from a force transfer element into the free end of a bending rod held rigidly at one end. The apparatus comprises means, e.g. two knife-edges for guiding the force transfer element in the direction of the bending rod, a first rounded contact surface on the force transfer element, a second rounded contact surface on the bending rod, a coupling element having first and second flat parallel spaced substantially horizontal surfaces and interposed between the first and second contact points with its first surface bearing against the first contact surface and its second surface bearing against the second contact surface, and means for holding the coupling element substantially centrally and resiliently relative to the first and second contact surfaces.

  • Patent number: 4273489
Abstract: An improved process and apparatus for forming layers of bricks in which rows within the layer can have the same or differing orientations. The bricks are conveyed in closed or substantially closed rows along a first conveyor. Two other conveyor systems are fed therefrom. On one of these two other conveyor systems, bricks are moved initially to a displacement device and spread apart in a direction longitudinally of the row and are thereafter transferred downstream to form, on a conveyor, a layer or partial layer. When partial layers are formed, that partial layer can be supplemented by transferring a layer of rows of bricks from a preparatory layer formed on the other conveyor system. When such bricks are transferred from the preparatory layer, they are simultaneously rotated through 90.degree. prior to their being deposited to complete the partial layer.

  • Patent number: 3991839
Abstract: A price-indicating projection weighing scale provided with a plurality of projectable graduation scales on a support member having several price scales each corresponding to a certain base price, the support member being movable in dependence of weight, and an optical projection system comprising an objective which is movable and indexable opposite a graduation scale in dependence of the pre-selected base price for projection of a section of the price graduation indicia on a focusing screen. The objective is affixed to a movable support which is movable and positionable via an adjustment unit, operated from the outside, which is set in accordance with a selected base price of the merchandise to be weighed.
