  • Patent number: 5558709
Abstract: Disclosed is a flow improving agent for binder suspensions containing cement which is composed of a) amino-s-triazine-formaldehyde-sulfite condensation products having a molar ratio of amino-s-triazine:formaldehyde:sulfite of 1:1.3 to 6.0: 0.3 to 1.5 and a low content of free formaldehye as well as b) casein. The flow improving agents have the advantage that the flowability is considerably improved compared to casein (alone) for example and the increased flowability remains constant even over a longer time period.

  • Patent number: 5071945
Abstract: A process for the production of sulphonic acid group-containing condensation products based on amino-s-triazines with at least two amino groups and formaldehyde with a low content of free formaldehyde, whereina) an amino-s-triazine, formaldehyde and sulphite is condensed in a mole ratio of 1:1.3 to 6:0.3 to 1.5 in aqueous solution at a pH value of 9.0 to 12.0 and at a temperature of 50.degree. to 90.degree. C. until sulphite is no longer detectable.b) subsequently, further condensation is carried out at a pH value of 2.0 to 7.0 and at a temperature of 50.degree. to 90.degree. C. until the viscosity of the solution is 4 to 1000 mm.sup.2 /s at 80.degree. C. andc) thereafter the condensation product is subjected to an after-treatment in a strongly alkaline range of pH.sqroot.11.0 and at an elevated temperature.

  • Patent number: 5035812
Abstract: The present invention provides a thermostable polymer comprisinga) 16 to 67 mole % of structural components of the formula: ##STR1## b) 5 to 42 mole % of structural components of the formula: ##STR2## wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3, independently of one another, are hydrogen atoms or methyl radicals, as well as c) 16 to 46 mole % of structural components of the formula: ##STR3## wherein R.sup.4 is a hydrogen atom or a methyl radical. The present invention also provides a process for the production of these polymers which, because of their high temperature stability, are outstandingly useful as retention agents for aqueous systems and as fluid loss additives.
