  • Patent number: 11267065
Abstract: Embodiments of systems and methods providing pattern recognition and data analysis in welding and cutting are disclosed. In one embodiment, a system includes a server computer and a data store connected to the server computer. The server computer receives welding data, including core welding data and non-core welding data, over a computer network from welding systems used to generate multiple welds to produce multiple instances of a same type of part. The server computer performs an analysis on the welding data to identify and group same individual welds of the multiple welds without relying on weld profile identification numbers as part of the analysis. A group of the same individual welds corresponds to a same weld location on the multiple instances of the same type of part. The data store receives the welding data from the server computer and digitally stores the welding data as identified and grouped.

  • Patent number: 11268446
Abstract: A gas turbine engine and method of starting, the gas turbine engine having a rotor comprising at least a shaft mounted compressor and turbine, with a casing surrounding the rotor. The method comprises an acceleration phase, a bowed-rotor cooling phase, during the acceleration, and a combustion phase. The bowed-rotor cooling phase comprises a time where the rotational speed of the rotor is maintained below a bowed-rotor threshold speed until a non-bowed condition is satisfied, wherein the air forced through the gas turbine engine cools the rotor. The combustion phase occurs after the bowed-rotor cooling phase and upon reaching the combustion speed, wherein fuel is supplied to the gas turbine engine is turned on.

  • Patent number: 11224930
Abstract: Various systems and methods are provided that allow a weld sequencer to use a statistical analysis of generated reports to automatically determine weld parameter limits for the welds defined by various functions in a sequence file. For example, the weld sequencer can take reports generated for a specific type of part and statistically analyze the weld data included in the reports according to a set of analysis parameters provided by a user. The weld sequencer can use the statistical analysis to identify and remove outlier data and define a set of weld parameter limits based on the remaining data. The weld parameter limits can define a low limit and/or a high limit for one or more weld parameters associated with a function. The weld sequencer can then update the sequence file to include the weld parameter limits.

  • Publication number: 20210409910
Abstract: A method for covertly acquiring data. Information about an activity associated with a first hand-held device is monitored by initiating covert application software in a first configuration in which a log-in must first be input to the first device. When running the software in the first configuration, no image which overtly exhibits a self-evident association with the software can be viewed on the display to identify the software or indicate that the software is running on the client. Prior to initiating monitoring with the software, a feature having no self-evident association with the covert application software can be accessed on a touch screen display of the device to initiate the software.

  • Patent number: 11208125
Abstract: A control system dictates operational settings of a rail vehicle system based a transitory second speed limit that is no faster than a current first speed limit and which is issued for a determined segment of the track for a determined time period. The control system obtains a current time, determines whether the transitory second speed limit has started, is in effect, or has expired based on the current time relative to the determined time period, and, in response to such determination, performs one or more of (a) generate a prompt to indicate that the determined time period has expired, (b) operate the rail vehicle system at the first speed limit, and/or (c) modify the operational settings of the rail vehicle system to exceed the second speed limit in the determined segment but not exceed the first speed limit for the determined segment.

  • Publication number: 20210380389
Abstract: A hand-held beverage dispenser includes a handle body, within which multiple valve units are contained. Two sets of fluid flow paths are provided into the handle body. The sets of fluid flow paths are mutually exclusive one to the other. Each flow path of the first set is in fluid communication with each valve unit, whereas only a predetermined one of the second set of fluid flow paths is in fluid communication with each valve unit. Each valve unit includes a flow control valve and a selection valve. The selection valve determines on an ad hoc basis which of the first set of flow paths will be utilized at any given time, while the flow control valve provides single action simultaneous ON-OFF control of fluid flows through both the selected flow path and the predetermined flow path.
