  • Publication number: 20210377314
Abstract: A Domain Name System (DNS) device stores data indicative of a user device and data indicative of a policy setting a level of access of the user device to a responding device. The DNS device receives, from the user device, a request for an Internet Protocol address of the responding device. The DNS device determines, based upon the request and the data indicative of the user device, that the policy applies to the request. The DNS device applies the policy in response to the determining.

  • Publication number: 20210360465
Abstract: Embodiments identify a station that rotates an over the air station address. As address rotation was not originally designed into wireless networks, the rotation can introduce communication challenges for the station. The embodiments derive that traffic referencing two different over the air station addresses are associated with a single common station. This is accomplished by determining a similarity between properties of two sets of traffic. A first set of traffic references the first over the air station address and a second set of traffic references the second over the air station address. If the properties common across the two sets of traffic indicate sufficient similarity, the embodiments determine that both sets of traffic are associated with a single device. Network configuration of the device is then adjusted based on the determination.

  • Publication number: 20210298647
Abstract: Aspects include identifying each of a plurality of audio sources proximate to a user wearing a headset. The audio sources include a primary audio source and a plurality of background audio sources. Aspects include causing the headset to play a set of audio sources to the user by causing each audio source of the set to be unfiltered by the headset. Aspects include determining an acceptance level of the user. Aspects also include determining a background noise filtering adjustment based on the acceptance level and the set of audio sources being played by the headset to the user. Aspects also include causing the headset to adjust a filtering of one or more of the plurality of background audio sources by the headset based on the background noise filtering adjustment.

  • Publication number: 20210226929
Abstract: Techniques for transferring data to a secure computing region that is isolated from any public networks is disclosed. In some embodiments, one or more artifacts for the secure computing region are packaged. As part of the packaging, one or more data packets and metadata for the one or more artifacts can be generated. The metadata indicates corresponding destination components for the one or more artifacts within the secure computing region. The data packet(s) are received and transmitted by a first data diode endpoint device. The first data diode endpoint device is configured to transmit data to the secure computing region via a second data diode endpoint device, the second data diode endpoint device being configured to restrict data from being transmitted to a destination outside of the secure computing region. The transmission of the one or more data packets may be monitored by the system.

  • Patent number: 10855705
Abstract: In one example embodiment, a threat detection server receives metadata of a network flow in a network; a zone definition that correlates the metadata of the network flow with a first zone of network devices in the network and a second zone of network devices in the network, where the network flow was transmitted from the first zone to the second zone; and a security policy for the network flow, where the security policy is enforced on the basis of the first zone and the second zone. Based on the zone definition, the threat detection server annotates a flow record that includes the metadata with an indication of the first zone and the second zone. Based on the annotated flow record and the security policy, the threat detection server determines whether to generate a notification associated with a detection of a security threat associated with the network flow.

  • Publication number: 20200296033
Abstract: In a first enclave of a label switching network (LSN), a protocol data unit (PDU) of the LSN is formatted to include a network service field specifying a service to be applied to the PDU. The service field can be positioned between PDU data link layer and network layer fields. The PDU specifies PDU routing/forwarding information for a path in the LSN ending in an LSN second enclave, and routing/forwarding for a destination between path segments in a non-LSN. The PDU is communicated from the first enclave, via the non-LSN, to the second enclave in accordance with the routing/forwarding information for the destination between path segments in the non-LSN. In the second enclave, each network service specified for the PDU is determined and then applied to the PDU. The second enclave transmits the network serviced PDU from the second enclave in accordance with the routing/forwarding information of the PDU in the label switching network.

  • Publication number: 20200184255
Abstract: In example implementations, an image is identified. The image may be received. A radial histogram of each layer of the image is generated. The radial histogram of each layer of the image may be compared to at least one of a plurality of pre-generated radial histograms of a respective layer of a plurality of layers of a known image, wherein the plurality of layers is compressed into a consolidated set of bytes and the comparing is performed in parallel via the consolidate set of bytes. The image may be identified as a match of the known image when a match percentage of the radial histogram of the each layer of the image compared to the at least one of the plurality of pre-generated radial histograms of the respective layer of the plurality of layers of the known image is above a match threshold.
