  • Publication number: 20170124425
Abstract: An example radial histogram matching system may generate a target radial histogram by identifying pixels in an input digital image that are determined to be on, traversing each of the pixels in the input digital image one time to determine how many of the pixels that are turned on are contained in each sector of a circle and assigning to each elements of the target radial histogram the number of on pixels in that element. The system may also compare the target radial histogram to each of an initial and a sequence of rotated radial histograms to determine a match score for each of the comparisons, and identify an offset rotation between a baseline pattern digital image and the input digital image based on the match scores.

  • Publication number: 20170048731
Abstract: In examples provided herein, upon receiving notification of a computational task requested by a package to provide an experience to a user, a remote node management engine identifies computing nodes for performing the computational task and determining available processing resources for each computing node, where a computing node resides at networked wearable devices associated with the user. The remote node management engine further selects one of the computing nodes as a primary controller to distribute portions of the computational task to one or more of the other computing nodes and receive results from performance of the portions of the computational task by the other computing nodes, and provides to the selected computing node information about available processing resources at each computing node.

  • Publication number: 20170041429
Abstract: In examples provided herein, upon receiving notification of data to be cached for a package executed in response to a user-initiated experience, where the user-initiated experience originated from a first networked wearable device (NWD) associated with the user, a caching node management engine identifies one or more caching nodes to cache the data and determines available storage resources for each caching node, where each caching node resides at other NWDs associated with the user. The caching node management engine further transmits different portions of the data to the one or more of the caching nodes for caching based upon available storage resources.

  • Patent number: 9449890
Abstract: Methods for temporary bussing of semiconductor package substrates are disclosed and may include metal plating regions of a packaging substrate utilizing a plurality of bussed traces, which may be decoupled by forming debuss holes at intersections of the bussed traces. The decoupled traces may then be electrically tested, and the packaging substrate may be singulated into a plurality of substrates utilizing a sawing process through singulation areas in the packaging substrate. The traces may be electrically coupled via plating bars in the substrate. The plating bars may be located in the singulation areas. The intersections of the bussed traces may be in a Y pattern, which may be repeated along the singulation areas. The debuss holes may be formed utilizing mechanical drilling or lasing. The regions of the packaging substrate may be metal plated utilizing an electroplating process. The plurality of bussed traces may be biased for the electroplating process.

  • Publication number: 20160214067
Abstract: One method as described herein relates to making a membrane comprising an uncrosslinked high molecular weight polyimide polymer with a small amount of bulky diamine. Also as described herein is a hollow fiber polymer membrane comprising an uncrosslinked high molecular weight polyimide polymer with a small amount of bulky diamine. The polyimide polymers include monomers comprising dianhydride monomers, diamino monomers without carboxylic acid functional groups, and optionally diamino monomers with carboxylic acid functional groups, wherein 2 to 10 mole % of the diamino monomers are bulky diamino compounds and the ratio of diamino monomers with carboxylic acid functional groups to diamino monomers without carboxylic acid functional groups is 0 to 2:3. These uncrosslinked high molecular weight polyimide polymers with a small amount of bulky diamine are useful in forming polymer membranes with high permeance and good selectivity that are useful for the separation of fluid mixtures.

  • Publication number: 20160177034
Abstract: One method as described herein relates to making a high molecular weight, monoesterified polyimide polymer using a small amount of bulky diamine. These high molecular weight, monoesterified polyimide polymers are useful in forming crosslinked polymer membranes with high permeance that are useful for the separation of fluid mixtures. Another method as described herein relates to making the crosslinked membranes from the high molecular weight, monoesterified polyimide polymer containing a small amount of bulky diamine. The small amount of bulky diamine allows for formation of both the high molecular weight polyimide polymer and for covalent ester crosslinks via reaction of the carboxylic acid groups with a diol crosslinking agent. This small amount of bulky diamines reduces chain mobility or segmental motion during crosslinking and reduces large loss of permeance. As such, this method provides a crosslinked membrane with good permeance and selectivity.

  • Publication number: 20160145507
Abstract: Described herein is a two-stage reforming process using a unique configuration which allows the reforming unit to operate at a higher naphtha feed rate as compared to conventional reforming configurations. In the unique reforming process described herein, a naphtha feedstock undergoes a distillation step prior to the first reforming stage. The distillation step separates the naphtha feedstock into a top light C6/C7 stream, which typically accounts for between 5 and 20 percent of the overall feedstock, and a C8+ stream. The C8+ stream undergoes reforming in a first stage consisting of at least one reactor containing conventional metallic reforming catalyst, under conditions sufficient to convert the C8+ stream into a first intermediate reformate. The C6/C7 stream, bypasses the first stage and is combined with the intermediate reformate, and reformed in the second stage, at lower pressure than in the first stage, over a reforming catalyst containing a medium pore zeolite.
