  • Patent number: 11673321
Abstract: A method for making an article for application to the human body. Data from measurement of pressures across an area of a person's body is obtained, which is then corresponded to a two-dimensional pressure map of a model of an article for application to that body area and identifying pressure-point locations and a pressure value for identified pressure-point location within the pressure map. Each different pressure value has a compression unit structure corresponding to that pressure value. The article is formed by generating the assigned respective structures in an integrated one-piece construct through layerwise build up in an additive manufacture system, where the build up includes a process that forms a joinder in an interface between adjacent contiguous structures which differ in geometry from one another so as to bond those contiguous structures together across the interface.

  • Patent number: 11630376
Abstract: An image capture device is described that includes a body; a mounting structure that is connected to the body; an integrated sensor-lens assembly (ISLA) that defines an optical axis and extends through the body and the mounting structure; and an accessory that is releasably connectable to the mounting structure via rotation through a range of motion less than approximately 90 degrees. The mounting structure and the accessory include corresponding angled bearing surfaces that are configured for engagement such that rotation of the accessory relative to the mounting structure creates a bearing effect that displaces the accessory along the optical axis to thereby reduce any axial force required during connection and disconnection of the accessory.

  • Publication number: 20230090172
Abstract: Methods for making hemoglobin based blood substitute preparations and hemoglobin based blood substitute preparations. The methods involve preparing a low purity erythrocyte protein fraction comprising hemoglobin protein and endogenous non-hemoglobin protein complement, and chemically modifying the proteins in the protein fraction to form a cross-linked hemoglobin containing blood substitute preparation. The low purity erythrocyte protein preparation can contain from at least about 0.2% (mole/mole) up to about 20% (mole/mole) endogenous non-hemoglobin protein complement. At least about 90% (mole/mole) of the hemoglobin proteins can be cross-linked, so that the average molecular mass of cross-linked proteins comprising hemoglobin protein molecules in the preparation is at least about 300 kDa. The preparations can be used to prepare finished blood substitute formulations for in-vivo and ex-vivo use.
