  • Patent number: 11811811
Abstract: Disclosed herein are embodiments of systems, methods, and products comprising an analytic server, which automatically detects malicious electronic files. The analytic server receives electronic files, runs a file extraction module to recursively scan the electronic files, and extracts all of the embedded and linked electronic files. The analytic server runs an exploit scanner against the extracted electronic files, and extracts code included in the electronic files. The analytic server deobfuscates the extracted code and examines the deobfuscated code by applying a set of malicious behavior rules against the deobfuscated rules. The analytic server identifies potentially malicious electronic files based on the examination. The analytic server applies a set of whitelist rules on the potentially malicious electronic files to eliminate false alarms. The analytic server transmits alert notifications to an analyst regarding the malicious electronic files and updates the whitelist rules based on analyst's feedback.

  • Patent number: 11733385
Abstract: A technique for increasing the measurement range of a light detection and ranging (LIDAR) system includes triggering a light source of the LIDAR system to emit light pulses towards an environment at a first repetition rate. A different second repetition rate for operation of a shutter of the LIDAR system is determined. The operation of the shutter is synchronized with the light source, based on the second repetition rate, such that reflections caused by the light pulses arrive at the shutter when the shutter is in different states during the time period. An intensity of the reflections that arrive at the shutter is determined. A range to objects in the environment is determined based on the measured intensity of the reflections.

  • Publication number: 20230229181
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention may provide an improved method for pre-heating an electronic device such as an information handling system, when internal temperatures are below safe operating ranges. To do so, the system selectively heats the entire device or select zones of the electronic device for a predetermined amount of time when the system is restarted after a period of time sufficient to bring the system to ambient temperatures. The predetermined amount of time is determined based on measured ambient temperatures. Using a table that corresponds the ambient temperatures to a time that a component needs to heat up to a nominal temperature in a zone, the predetermined time can be calculated.

  • Publication number: 20230229212
Abstract: An improved method and system for heating and cooling an electronic device, when internal temperatures are below safe operating ranges. To do so, the system selectively heats or cools each zone of the electronic device. This may be done by individual heaters and/or cooling system for each separate zones. Alternatively, or in addition too, the system can selectively open and close baffles, causing fresh ambient air to enter and/or recirculate heated air in a device’s enclosure. This keeps sensitive components of the computing device, such as processors and memory from suffering damage, by operating them at temperatures that are either too cold or too warm.
