  • Patent number: 10926958
Abstract: In an extendible belt conveyor with a boom mounted for movement with respect to a penultimate section and a cable extending from user controls on the boom to the penultimate section, a cable management system may include a first pulley mounted to an underside of the penultimate section and a second pulley mounted to the underside of the penultimate section, with a distance between the first pulley and the second pulley adjusted to maintain tension in the cable. The cable management system may also include a first shoe mounted to an underside of the boom near the penultimate section and a second shoe mounted to the underside of the penultimate section near the boom. The first shoe defines a channel for receiving the cable and the second shoe defines a channel for receiving the cable, with the cable passing around the first shoe and then around the second shoe.

  • Publication number: 20080033561
Abstract: A stent, or device for repair and reconstruction of the spinal disc wall, or annulus fibrosus, after surgical incision or pathologic rupture, which is inserted through an aperture into the subannular space. The stent has radial extensions which are caused or allowed to expand into an expanded configuration to bridge the aperture. The stent thereby occludes the defective region from the inside of the vertebral disc and prevents the migration of nucleus pulposus therethrough, while also providing a scaffold for tissue growth.

  • Publication number: 20070198026
Abstract: A device for stabilizing hydrocephalus shunt valves, or other medical apparatus, to reduce or eliminate repositioning, particularly when positioned in the fascia or subcutaneous tissues within a body. The shunt valve stabilizer of the subject invention is particularly useful for stabilizing lumboperitoneal (LP) shunt valves, but could be used with other types of shunt valves or medical devices susceptible to undesired movement within or on a body.

  • Publication number: 20070156245
Abstract: The present invention provides methods and devices for treating the annulus of an intervertebral disc. The methods and devices can employ an expandable treatment device which is deployed at least partially in the subannular space. Fixation devices and methods are also disclosed, which help to secure the treatment device in place.

  • Publication number: 20070100348
Abstract: The present inventions provide apparatuses and methods for repairing or otherwise treating an intervertebral disc. The apparatus and methods in accordance with the present inventions may be used to treat or repair a tear, rent, incision, defect, aperture or delamination of the annulus fibrosus of an intervertebral disc. The apparatus and methods may employ fixation delivery apparatuses, fixation apparatuses, patch delivery tools and patches positioned in or on aspects of an intervertebral disc for treatment or repair of the intervertebral disc or its components.
