  • Publication number: 20090050215
Abstract: An aquifer restoration device (1) having a hollow collection pipe (2) of a predetermined length (21) having an open top end (12) and a bottom end (13) wherein the collection pipe top end (12) is located a predetermined distance above a ground surface (7) and the collection pipe bottom end (13) is located a predetermined distance below a ground surface (7), at least one filter (20) located on the collection pipe top end (12) and at least one discharge port (10) located on the collection pipe (2) below the ground surface (7). The collection pipe bottom end (13) is preferably located a predetermined distance above or within an aquifer (8) located beneath the ground surface (7). The collection pipe (2) is in fluid communication with a roof (5) of a structure (6) and is located either internally or externally to the structure (6) so as to collect rainwater (9) from the roof (5) and/or gutter(s) (4) secured to the structure (6), filter the rainwater (9) and inject the filtered rainwater (9) into the aquifer (8).

  • Patent number: 6494256
Abstract: A method and apparatus for isolating a completing and isolating a zone within a subterranean wellbore is disclosed. One embodiment of the present invention is a zonal isolation assembly for completing a first zone in a subterranean wellbore. The zonal isolation assembly comprises an inner housing and a sliding sleeve capable of moving between an open and closed position is disposed within the inner housing. A passageway provides fluid communication between the inside and outside of the inner housing and an isolation tubing element is at least partially disposed within the inner housing and capable of moving between an upper position and a lower position. When the sliding sleeve is in its closed position and the isolation tubing element is in its lower position, fluid communication from the first zone through the isolation assembly is restricted.

  • Patent number: 5435339
Abstract: A manually operable pressure relief valve for swimming pool filter systems and the like, including a valve housing, a valve stem movable axially in the housing to open and close the valve, and a top cover that serves as an operating handle. The valve housing and the valve stem have components that cooperate to provide an axial movement from closed to fully open with only a quarter turn of the stem, and to prevent inadvertent removal of the stem from the housing. The stem must be moved deliberately through a sequence of required rotational and axial displacements to remove it. The top cover must also be manipulated in a prescribed manner to effect removal of the stem from the housing.

  • Patent number: RE29665
Abstract: Apparatus for ejecting a mixture of liquids, e.g. urethane foam, comprises a cylindrical chamber into which the liquids are separately introduced under pressure and mixed and ejected from the open end of the chamber. A reciprocable plunger alternately exposes the inlets in its rear portion and seals the inlets from each other and purges the chamber in its forward position. The inlets are axially spaced apart and separated from each other by a throat that has interference fit with the plunger in the forward position of the plunger, the plunger having for this purpose an elastic deformable surface.
