  • Patent number: 6142845
Abstract: A doll includes a doll body having a torso rotatably supported upon the legs and lower body of the doll. The torso supports a pair of arms which in turn support a pair of bubble attachment. Each bubble attachment is snap-fit attached to the doll's arms and includes a conventional bubble ring. A pullstring mechanism is operative within the doll body and torso to provide rotation of the torso and arms of the doll back and forth in response to pullstring draw and release. A quantity of bubble-producing liquid is loaded upon the bubble attachments afterwhich the pullstring operation twirls the doll torso and arm to produce a number of bubbles.

  • Patent number: 6139007
Abstract: A dam has a slat disposed therein with protrusions along its sheet-engaging surface. If more than one sheet is fed from a stack to the dam, the sheets strike the slat surface and protrusions, causing the sheets to buckle and then separate from each other.

  • Patent number: 6132285
Abstract: A doll includes a torso supporting a pivotally attached arm and a string winding spool. A slide is moveably supported within the torso and is coupled to a button extending outwardly from the rear of the doll torso. A pivotable arm is secured to the torso and is operated through a predetermined pivot angle in response to the vertical movement of the button. A spring urges the button to its upper most position. A string passes through an aperture formed in a dolls arm and is wound partially upon the interior string winding mechanism. The outer end of the string supports a simulated yoyo object. As the button is pressed downwardly against the return spring by the user the arm pivots upwardly and the string winds upon the winding spool raising the yoyo. As the button is released the return spring raises the button allowing the arm to pivot downwardly and unwinding a quantity of the supporting string from the spool causing the simulated yoyo to descend.

  • Patent number: 5896004
Abstract: A linear double ended lamp can be modified into a number of non-linear arrangements by heating selected regions of the lamp ends to the softening temperature and bending the lamp ends to a desired angular configuration. Preferably, the lamp ends are bent across the sealing foil that is hermetically sealed to the lamp envelope. One or both ends of the lamp can be bent as desired to define a variety of configurations. According to the method of forming the bent double ended lamp, selected regions of the lamp are raised above the softening temperature while the remainder of the lamp is maintained at a lower temperature. Preferably, the lamp ends are bent along an axis offset and parallel to the longitudinal axis of the lamp to prevent accumulation of material.

  • Patent number: 5466181
Abstract: A doll includes a hollow torso within which a battery power source is supported. The doll further includes a pair of outer surface areas supporting coating or deposits of conductive material. Electrical connection is provided between the conductive outer surface areas and the internal battery power source. A plurality of electrical toy apparatus such as a music or sound producing device or a lighted mirror are provided with conductive pads and electrical connection thereto. In the anticipated play pattern, the doll contacts the electrical apparatus conductive pads using the conductive outer areas of the doll's outer surface to provide electrical connection between the internal battery power supply of the doll and the electrical toy apparatus. Thereafter and so long as the contact is maintained, the battery source within the doll powers the electrical apparatus to provide the desired effect.

  • Patent number: 5430353
Abstract: A lamp inlead assembly for a light source having a lamp envelope with at least one end region in which the lamp inlead assembly is sealably disposed includes and outer lead wire member to which power to the light source is coupled, an inner lead wire member to which the light generating device is connected, whether incandescent or discharge, and a thin foil member disposed therebetween on which the inner and outer lead wire members are fixedly secured. The thin foil member is constructed of molybdenum and is essentially uniform in thickness throughout.

  • Patent number: 5407255
Abstract: Instead of changing a flat tire, a device is provided which comprises a circular plate of a diameter substantially equal to that of the tire, provided with a rubber or the like rim allowing the driving of the automobile thereon in substitution of the flat tire. A segment portion of the plate is hinged thereto so that it is foldable away of the plane of the plate. The plate is mountable to the wheel rim, means being provided for securing the segment portion to the plate in the non-folded position thereof after driving the automobile by a short distance. A modified version of the device is applicable to snow or sand driving.

  • Patent number: 5299715
Abstract: A syrup dosing valve for use in soft drink dispensing installations is disclosed in which the quantity of syrup supplied is adjustable by means of a screw threaded adjusting pin. The adjusting pin is associated with pressure sensing means, in communication with and responsive to the syrup inlet pressure, in order to enable the valve to be disabled, thereby prevent further use of the installation once a pressure of the syrup supply is sensed. In one embodiment, the pressure sensing means comprise a diaphragm operated electric switch, mounted on head portion of the adjusting pin. Flow damping means may be provided for stabilizing the operation of the switch.

  • Patent number: 5240144
Abstract: Apparatus for dispensing of beverages contained in deformable bottles, particularly family-size conventional PET bottles of more than one brand or taste. The apparatus comprises a housing with one or more beverage dispensing valves at the outside, an openable lid, and one or more pressure vessels with openable lid(s) thereinside. Each pressure vessel is configured to receive one or more of the bottle(s) in an upright position. A fitting is mountable to the bottle(s), and is extended by a conduit leading to the respective dispensing valve(s). Air pressure introduced into the vessel(s) cause the squeezing of the bottle(s) thereunder following discharge of the contents of the respective bottle(s) through the dispensing valve.

  • Patent number: 4726457
Abstract: A coin mechanism for vending machines comprising a coin receptacle, a detector for unlocking a dispensing mechanism only when a coin of the proper size is received in the receptacle, and a coin retaining device for retaining coins deposited in the mechanism only when a selected product has been properly dispensed from the machine. The detector includes a wall defining part of a coin slot, a window in the wall, a coin holding lever for holding coins across the window only when such coins are of the proper denomination, and a detector arm for entering the window when it is open to prevent the actuation of the product dispensing mechanism and for enabling the actuation of the dispensing mechanism when the window is closed by a coin.
