Patent number: 11793820Abstract: Embodiments include formulations and methods for oromucosal administration of a dry powder to create a topical foam composition to deliver medicaments to an interior mucosal space, such as the oral cavity, nasal cavity, rectal cavity, vaginal cavity or esophagus. The active agent can be amifostine, an antibiotic, an anti-fungal, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug or a steroidal anti-inflammatory drug. Oromucosal delivery allows one to target oral epithelial cells. Embodiments also include methods of treating mucositis. Conventional formulations and methods are generally ineffective because drugs cannot be directed toward epithelial cells of the GI that are most susceptible to mucositis. The formulations described herein increase concentration, permeability and residence time at a target site. The formulations also allow stable forms of amifostine, which obviates difficulties associated with storing, dosing and administering the drug.Type: GrantFiled: September 24, 2022Date of Patent: October 24, 2023Inventors: Chadwick Donaldson, Adam Haeberle, Joseph Fuisz

Publication number: 20070005444Abstract: Methods provide for auditing of on-line commercial transactions to determine what products are the primary motivations for a customer to begin an on-line shopping session. When a purchase is made during a shopping session, the method determines whether a purchased product is related to a previous “prime motivator” product. If so, the product is designated as a derivative product and a derivative count associated with the product is incremented. If not, the product itself is designated a prime motivator product and a prime motivator count associated with the product is incremented.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 31, 2006Publication date: January 4, 2007Applicant: Meyer Cordless LLCInventors: Richard Fuisz, Joseph Fuisz
