  • Patent number: 12378975
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a fluid pump which has a pump casing, a top cap securable to an upper end of the pump casing and having an air intake port and a fluid discharge port. A fluid discharge tube extends to adjacent a lower end of the pump casing. A one-way check valve is disposed adjacent the lower end of the pump and forms a one-way path to admit fluid into the pump casing during a fill cycle of operation of the pump. A one-way check valve at the discharge port allows fluid to escape during a discharge cycle. An auger element is disposed inside the pump casing for causing a swirling, rotational fluid flow during a fluid eject cycle, in response to a jet of compressed air released into the pump casing, in which fluid having collected within the pump casing is forced by the jet of compressed air into and up through the discharge tube, and out from the pump casing.

Abstract: Systems, methods, tangible non-transitory computer-readable media, and devices for autonomous vehicle operation are provided. For example, a computing system can receive object data that includes portions of sensor data. The computing system can determine, in a first stage of a multiple stage classification using hardware components, one or more first stage characteristics of the portions of sensor data based on a first machine-learned model. In a second stage of the multiple stage classification, the computing system can determine second stage characteristics of the portions of sensor data based on a second machine-learned model. The computing system can generate an object output based on the first stage characteristics and the second stage characteristics. The object output can include indications associated with detection of objects in the portions of sensor data.

  • Patent number: 11939081
Abstract: End effectors and systems may capture, release, and/or create a mating engagement between the end effector and a target object. Said end effectors are tolerant of positional and rotational misalignment of the target object, and include a plurality of roller wheels, one or more of which is arranged in a non-parallel plane with respect to one or more other roller wheels. A first roller wheel configured to rotate in a first plane, a second roller wheel configured to rotate in a second plane, and a third roller wheel configured to rotate in a third plane may be arranged such that the end effector is configured to engage a passive receptacle of the target object, to capture the target object. Rotating the roller wheels in the opposite direction may cause the target object to be released or launched, by urging the passive receptacle off of or away from the roller wheels.

  • Patent number: 11921085
Abstract: Embodiments described herein utilize Non-Destructive Inspection (NDI) scan data obtained during a process performed on a surface of a structure to update a location of an NDI scanner on the surface. A subsurface feature within the structure is detected based on the NDI scan data, which are correlated with pre-defined position data for the subsurface feature. A measured location of the NDI scanner on the surface is corrected based on the pre-defined position data for the subsurface feature.

  • Publication number: 20230351710
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure are directed to providing versions of user data that correspond to different virtual user presence fidelities. Implementations provide multiple versions of user state data, generated from tracked real-world user movements, to subscriber systems. The subscriber systems can display a virtual user presence (e.g., avatar) that mimics the tracked user movements based on each subscribed version of the user state data. Different subscriber systems can comprise different display capabilities and/or display the virtual user presence in different scenarios. The different versions of the user state data can correspond to different virtual user presence fidelities. Each subscriber system can subscribe to a given version of the user state data that fits this subscriber system's particular display capabilities and/or virtual user presence display scenario.

  • Patent number: 11686290
Abstract: A lift system for a rotor blade of a wind turbine includes a lifting device having a structural frame body having a root end and a tip end. The root end supports a root cradle and the tip end supports a tip cradle. The root and tip cradles each have a profile that corresponds to at least one exterior surface of the rotor blade so as to receive and support at least a portion of the rotor blade. Due to a shape of the rotor blade, when the rotor blade is installed in the lifting device and lifted uptower, the rotor blade can experience an asymmetric loading. Accordingly, the lift system also includes a variable airflow assembly coupled to tip end of the lifting device. The variable airflow assembly includes at least one surface moveable between a plurality of positions having varying resistances so as to counteract the asymmetric loading.

  • Publication number: 20230110951
Abstract: A braking assembly of a wind turbine includes a slewing ring bearing, at least one first drive mechanism having a first motor and a first drive pinion that rotationally engages the slewing ring bearing. The first motor is pre-tensioned in a first direction by a first amount of force. The braking assembly also includes at least one second drive mechanism having a second motor and a second drive pinion that rotationally engages the slewing ring bearing. The second motor is pre-tensioned in a second direction with a second amount of force. The first direction and the second direction are opposite of each other and the first amount of force are substantially equal to the second amount of force. Thus, the first and second amounts of force substantially cancel each other while also allowing dithering of at least one of the first and second motors, thereby preventing substantial rotational movement of the slewing ring bearing.
