  • Publication number: 20220244980
Abstract: Systems and techniques are described for virtual machine communication and migration A described technique includes operating server systems that are configured to run virtual machines and providing a virtual network for Internet Protocol (IP) based communications to the virtual machines. The virtual machines can be assigned network addresses, such as IP addresses, on the virtual network. Providing the virtual network can include using separate IP tunnels to effect delivery of IP packets on the virtual network to the virtual machines, respectively. The technique includes migrating a virtual machine running on a first server system to a second server system. The migrated virtual machine can maintain its assigned IP address. The technique includes updating a tunnel endpoint destination associated with the assigned IP address of the migrated virtual machine. The updated tunnel endpoint destination can be based on a network address associated with the second server system.

  • Publication number: 20220242100
Abstract: An optically anisotropic polymer thin film includes a crystallizable polymer and an additive configured to interact with the polymer (e.g., via ?-? interactions) to facilitate chain alignment and, in some examples, create a higher crystalline content within the polymer thin film. The polymer thin film may be characterized by a bimodal molecular weight distribution where the molecular weight of the additive may be less than approximately 50% of the molecular weight of the crystallizable polymer. Example crystallizable polymers include polyethylene naphthalate, polyethylene terephthalate, polybutylene naphthalate, polybutylene terephthalate, as well as derivatives thereof. Example additives, which may occupy up to approximately 10 wt. % of the polymer thin film, include aromatic ester oligomers, aromatic amide oligomers, and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, for example. The optically anisotropic polymer thin film may be characterized by a refractive index greater than approximately 1.

  • Publication number: 20220245989
Abstract: A system for wagering on outcomes of a live sporting event during the event wherein the odds users are given for a wager are generated based on historical data and then adjusted based on risk factors. These risk factors include lack of sufficient data to form an accurate odds assessment, a wide range of odds from similar plays, and overall monetary loss within a set time frame. Each factor is analyzed individually and then amalgamated into one adjustment factor which is then used to adjust the odds. In this way the system accounts for its own level of inaccuracy in calculating odds.

  • Publication number: 20220243528
Abstract: A door synchronizing assembly is provided having two doors for closing an opening to an enclosure, such as an oven cavity. Each door has a hinged outer edge at which the corresponding door pivots relative to the housing of the enclosure and a fixation point. A central linkage is provided adjacent a surface of the housing of the enclosure. The central linkage translates substantially in a direction perpendicular to a plane of the opening of the enclosure. As such, the central linkage translates towards and away from the door opening. First and second rigid elongated elements are provided, each of which link the central linkage with the fixation point of a corresponding door of the two doors. Movement of one of the two doors causes a translation of the central linkage which in turn generates a corresponding movement of the second of the two doors.
