  • Patent number: 12188869
Abstract: Light detection devices and related methods are provided. The devices may comprise a reaction structure for containing a reaction solution with a relatively high or low pH and a plurality of reaction sites that generate light emissions. The devices may comprise a device base comprising a plurality of light sensors, device circuitry coupled to the light sensors, and a plurality of light guides that block excitation light but permit the light emissions to pass to a light sensor. The device base may also include a shield layer extending about each light guide between each light guide and the device circuitry, and a protection layer that is chemically inert with respect to the reaction solution extending about each light guide between each light guide and the shield layer. The protection layer prevents reaction solution that passes through the reaction structure and the light guide from interacting with the device circuitry.

  • Patent number: 12189899
Abstract: Techniques for rejecting apparent (but false) touches caused by objects such as water droplets located in areas with parasitic capacitive paths to ground are disclosed. To minimize these false touches, one or more guard conductors can be located in proximity to the housing and driven with a stimulation signal to shield objects from being capacitively coupled to ground through the housing. In some examples images of touch can be obtained from a non-bootstrapped or bootstrapped scan and also an extended bootstrapped scan wherein the guard conductor is driven with a stimulation signal that has the same characteristics as the stimulation signal being applied to the sensed touch nodes. In some examples, the results of the extended bootstrapped scan can be subtracted from the non-bootstrapped or bootstrapped scan to identify and reject apparent touches resulting from capacitive coupling to ground.

  • Patent number: 12189374
Abstract: A permission-engine computer system receives a request for electronic access by an equipment supplier to a manufacturing facility of a manufacturer to perform a remote support activity for equipment in the manufacturing facility. The permission-engine computer system routes the request to a plurality of predefined approvers and receives approval of the request from the plurality of predefined approvers. In response to receiving approval of the request from the plurality of predefined approvers, the permission-engine computer system signals a gateway computer system of the manufacturer that the request is approved. The gateway computer system automatically creates a connection between an electronic device in the manufacturing facility and a computer system of the equipment supplier in response to approval of the request. The connection is used for the remote support activity.

  • Patent number: 12190097
Abstract: Systems and methods support updates peripheral devices that may be coupled to an Information Handling System (IHS), such as provided at shared-use workstations. The IHS reports, to a remote orchestrator, an inventory of peripheral devices that are coupled to the IHS. In response, the remote orchestrator provides the IHS with files for updates to some or all of the coupled peripheral devices. As part of the updates, the remote orchestrator also designates a specific peripheral device as a proxy for making updates to other peripherals of the shared-use workstation. The IHS transmits the files to the proxy peripheral device, where the files are stored in a memory of the proxy peripheral device. The proxy peripheral device uses the files to update the other peripherals of the shared-use workstation, such as when the peripherals are not in use by the IHS, or after the IHS has been disconnected.
