  • Publication number: 20240345037
Abstract: Embodiments described herein relate to improved devices and techniques for measuring the charge carried by analyte particles. The charge may be measured in a way that does not destroy the analyte, so that the analyte remains available for further analysis. The charged analyte particles may pass through (or by) an electrode. In doing so, they induce a counter charge on that electrode which can be detected electronically. Subsequent to their passage through that electrode, the particles can be collected on a substrate or may pass in real-time into a mass spectrometer. In some embodiments, both conventional destructive detection and nondestructive detection may both be present in an improved charged aerosol detector and the stream of charged particles may be directed to one or the other by a suitable redirector. Embodiments may be combined with light scattering analysis to provide further non-destructive analysis. Various combinations of these improvements are also described.

  • Publication number: 20240346331
Abstract: According to some embodiments, a method includes determining test predictions by performing an inference process using a checkpointed learning model and test vectors. The checkpointed learning model includes hyperparameters and weights. The method further includes determining an attribution map by performing one or more attribution processes using the test predictions and the test vectors. The method further includes determining a score for each particular hyperparameter by analyzing the attribution map using an association classifier. The method further includes determining, based on the analysis by the association classifier, whether each particular hyperparameter should be frozen or tuned again. The method further includes updating the hyperparameters and weights of the neural network when it is determined that at least one particular hyperparameter should be tuned again.

  • Publication number: 20240346589
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for routing trading orders. The system determines that a first trading entity disclosed to the trading platform a reserve quantity of a first trading order received from the first entity. The system determines that a second trading entity did not disclose a reserve quantity of a second trading order received from the second trading entity. The system receives a third trading order. The system preferences the first trading entity over the second trading entity in the routing of trading orders, e.g., by routing the third trading order to the first trading entity.

  • Publication number: 20240345839
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for reducing or eliminating loop overhead caused by function calls in processors that form part of a pipeline architecture. The processors in the pipeline process data blocks in an iterative fashion, with each processor in the pipeline completing one of several iterations associated with a processing loop for a commonly-executed function. The described techniques leverage the use of message passing for pipelined processors to enable an upstream processor to signal to a downstream processor when processing has been completed, and thus a data block is ready for further processing in accordance with the next loop processing iteration. The described techniques facilitate a zero loop overhead architecture, enable continuous data block processing, and allow the processing pipeline to function indefinitely within the main body of the processing loop associated with the commonly-executed function where efficiency is greatest.

  • Publication number: 20240344397
Abstract: A brake system for maintaining an angular position of a spindle assembly. A pump-powered motor drives rotation of a spindle on the machine. When no rotation is desired, the spindle will slow, then stop at a desired angular orientation. A rotational sensor will determine the clock position, and a controller compares that to a desired angular orientation. If an error tolerance is exceeded, the motor will rotate the spindle back to the desired orientation.
