  • Publication number: 20190188253
Abstract: In an embodiment, a data storage and retrieval system includes a computing device that configures the computer memory according to an RTree (a type of logic tree) representing a structure of a spreadsheet. The computer memory may be internal to or external to the computing device. In an embodiment, the RTree has a plurality of nodes, at least some of which contain one or more minimum bounding rectangles. Each minimum bounding rectangle (“MBR”) encompasses cells of the spreadsheet from a different one of a plurality of columns of the spreadsheet, but does not encompass cells of any of the other columns of the plurality of columns. • Patent number: 10324073
Abstract: Monitoring systems and apparatuses and methods for using same are generally described. A gas monitoring system may include a base component and a module component. The module may be configured to be operably coupled to the base component through corresponding interface connectors. The system may be monitor for gases and generate alarms relating thereto, when the module is connected to the base. The base and/or module may have limited or no functionality when disconnected from the module and/or base. The module may include components that typically have an increased potential for upgrades, replacement, maintenance, or other modifications. The base may include components that typically have a lower rate of being upgraded, replaced, or requiring maintenance. In this manner, high maintenance components may be arranged in a module that has a smaller and more portable form factor as compared to the base and the system overall.

  • Patent number: 10229395
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention include systems, methods, and computer-program products for predictive determination and resolution of an exception located on a negotiable instrument. The exception may be an indicia that includes data related to the payor, payment accounts, or payee. An indicia may not be identified successfully and thus be queued for exception processing. The exceptions may include one or more irregularities such as bad micro line reads, outdated check stock, or misrepresentative indicia points on a negotiable instrument that may result in a failure to match the check to an account for processing. Upon identifying an exception, the system retrieves historical transaction data associated with the resolved indicia. Subsequently, utilizing the resolved indicia, the system may determine a value for the exception identified based on the retrieved historical transaction data. Finally, the determined value may be stored with the negotiable instrument to complete the payment reconciliation process.

  • Publication number: 20180261195
Abstract: An adjustable integrated lug and drum mount composed of an integrated lug, a U-bracket and at least one mounting component, wherein the relative position of the mounting component with respect to the U-bracket is adjustable. The integrated lug and U-bracket are durably attached to the drum shell and one another with two fasteners. The U-bracket has a planar, free member, which connects with the mounting component(s). The planar, free member has one end, attached continuously to the bulk of the U-bracket, called the joined end. The planar, free member has another end, disposed distal to the joined end, called the free end, which can vibrate. The mounting components can be mounted substantially anywhere between the joined end and the free end. The adjustment changes the stiffness with which the integrated lug and drum mount connects the drum leg or support to the drum. The integrated lug has a threaded receiver that can accept a threaded shaft from a tuning screw.

  • Patent number: 10049350
Abstract: Disclosed are systems, methods, and computer program products that provide for element level presentation of elements of a payment instrument for exceptions processing. More specifically, the invention involves identifying an exception element from an image of a financial document, determining the location of the exception element based on its coordinates within the image of the financial document, and providing a zoomed-in view of the exception element to the user along with information and resources to allow a user to conveniently conduct accurate analysis of the exception element. The system then receives a correct element from the user to replace the exception element, and then processes the financial document using the replaced correct element instead of the exception element.

  • Publication number: 20180189164
Abstract: A facility for reporting on original values on behalf of each of a plurality of users—each falling within a domain partitioned into a plurality of segments of uniform size—is provided. For each of the plurality of users, the facility (a) randomly selects an upward-rounding window size that is smaller than the segment size; (b) for each source value in a domain, randomly determines a mapping of each segment of the domain to a segment identifier value; (c) determines an original value for the user; (d) adds the upward-rounding window size to the user's original value to obtain a window-augmented original value; (e) identifies a segment containing the window-augmented original value; (f) identifies a segment identifier value mapped-to from the identified segment using the determined mapping; and (g) transmits a reporting communication on the user's behalf reporting a value based on the identified segment identifier value.
