  • Patent number: 10614227
Abstract: Vulnerable code allows outside actors to interfere with the normal operation of current systems. To help defend against these outside actors, it is desirable to identify vulnerabilities in existing systems, including systems where the original source code is not available for study. Described herein are methods for identifying functional attributes that change the intended operation of a compiled binary extracted from a target system.

  • Publication number: 20190318107
Abstract: An access manager that detects a derivative work and automatically transfers digital access rights associated with an original work to the derivative work executes on a computing device. The access manager detects data to be written to a storage device and generates a new file signature for the data. The access manager compares the new file signature to existing file signatures, where the file signatures include piecewise signatures. When at least one of the piecewise signatures from the new file signature matches one of the piecewise signatures in the existing file signatures, the access manager determines that the new data to be written to the storage device is a derivative work generated from the existing file. The access rights associated with the existing file signature are copied to the new file such that the file access rights associated with the original work are passed on to the derivative work.

  • Publication number: 20190155859
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure relate to systems and methods for merging versions and activities associated with a file into a history feed and displaying the history feed on a user interface of a client computing device. In one aspect, a file is identified and activities associated with the file are also identified. It may be determined whether the file has at least one activity. When it is determined that the file has at least one activity, at least one actionable history element for the at least one activity is generated. Additionally, the generated history elements are merged to generate a history feed. The history feed is displayed on a user interface. The history feed may be displayed with an application that has opened the file.

  • Publication number: 20180055482
Abstract: The present invention relates to devices for detecting esophageal state changes. More specifically, the present invention relates to a lightweight, portable, user-operable device capable of detecting gastroesophageal reflux events. The sonography array can also be used to track the frequency of gastroesophageal reflux events, and can either store or deliver the data either to a practitioner's server or to a user's electronic device.

  • Publication number: 20170367807
Abstract: Soft tissue grafts, packaged soft tissue grafts, and methods of making and using soft tissue grafts are disclosed. One soft tissue graft includes processed tissue material having first and second opposed surfaces. The first and second opposed surfaces are bounded by first and second edges. The first edge has a concave shape that curves toward the second edge. The second edge has a convex shape that curves away from the first edge. The first surface comprises a plurality of apertures. At least one of the apertures is formed from a multi-directional separation in the first surface. One method of making a soft tissue graft includes positioning a cutting die on a surface of tissue material, pressing the cutting die into the tissue material to cut the tissue material, and processing the cut tissue material to create processed tissue material.

  • Publication number: 20090299807
Abstract: Various technologies and techniques are disclosed for previewing and managing scheduling opportunities. A scheduling opportunity is received. A context of one or more surrounding appointments to the scheduling opportunity is retrieved. The scheduling opportunity is displayed with the context of the surrounding appointments, such as in a mini-calendar format. When the appointment is a recurrent appointment, the scheduling opportunity for the recurrent appointment is displayed with a context of the surrounding appointments.

  • Publication number: 20070213216
Abstract: A shiny metal base ornament is configured with a series of concentric geometric figures of sequentially decreasing sizes from periphery toward center, with a slot separating juxtaposed geometric figures, and a spine joins juxtaposed geometric figures across the slot. A surface coating is of clear substrate suited to receive dye sublimation inks. The coating carries a graded surface color scheme of dye sublimation inks. A method of forming employs a computerized physical design and an extracted cutout image that provides a template for a coloration pattern that registers precisely with the physical ornament. Color gradations cross slots to coat cut edges during sublimation.

  • Publication number: 20060090509
Abstract: A device for inserting jewelry into pierced body openings which consists of an elongated cylinder having a closed pointed end for insertion into body openings, and a hollow end which friction fits over the jewelry's end. Once the device is fitted over the jewelry, the pointed end of the device is inserted through the body's opening, which allows for the device with attached jewelry to be inserted and pushed through the body opening without damaging tissue. Since only the smooth plastic surface of the device makes contact with any tissue, contact of the jewelry's threaded or sharp edges with tissue is eliminated. This reduces tissue damage and risk of infection. The device's shape can be straight or curved, and its dimensions vary to accommodate the size of the jewelry and the specific pierced body openings.

  • Publication number: 20050233356
Abstract: Methods and compositions for determining the duration of a cell cycle phase of a mammalian cell, as well as identification of the cell cycle stage of fixed mammalian cells, are provided. In practicing the subject methods, at least one biosensor polypeptide that monitors a cell-cycle phase in a mammalian cell, such as mitosis, G1, S, or G2 phase, is used to determine the duration of a cell-cycle phase of a mammalian cell. Also provided are methods for identifying an agent (e.g., a gene product or small molecule compound) that modulates the duration of a cell-cycle phase of a mammalian cell, as well as kits and systems for practicing the subject methods.
