  • Patent number: 9844636
Abstract: A pressure support device such as a CPAP machine, is provided, which includes a housing, and a controller enclosed by the housing. The controller operates the CPAP machine independently or in combination with an accessory such as, for example and without limitation, a humidifier. A user interface is operably coupled to the controller and includes a primary display, a secondary display and a single control. The single control is operable in a first mode of operation to adjust operating parameters of the CPAP machine, and in a second mode of operation to adjust operating parameters of the humidifier. The secondary display preferably comprises a dead front, which is operational (e.g., without limitation, visible) only in the second mode of operation. A method of operating a pressure support device is also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20170357275
Abstract: A water leak detection and prevention system employs water flow, moisture and temperature sensors within a monitored residential, commercial or industrial building. A motor-actuated valve has been installed that controls water flow through the main water pipe or branch pipe. A flow sensor is used to detect water flow through a building's main or branch water pipe. Moisture sensors and temperature sensors are placed at strategic locations throughout the monitored building. All sensors communicate wirelessly with a gateway. A signal is sent to the gateway whenever a sensor detects a dangerous condition. Signals are relayed from the gateway to a server that manages the system. Alerts are sent to building personnel via push notification and phone calls. Any of such personnel can transmit a command to the server, which is relayed to the affected gateway, which sends a wireless signal to shut off the motor-actuated valve.

  • Publication number: 20150074289
Abstract: A system and method is disclosed for detecting invalid webpages by analyzing server redirects. A storage comprising a set of previously stored target addresses is queried to determine whether one or more of the set of previously stored target addresses result from a redirect initiated from more than a predetermined number of originating addresses. On determining that a target address resulted from a redirect initiated from more than the predetermined number of originating addresses, the originating addresses are analyzed to determine, for each address, a difference between information previously stored for the originating address and information associated with the respective target address. If the difference satisfies a predetermined threshold, the originating address is marked as not valid or is removed.
