  • Publication number: 20030167198
Abstract: A process that enables markets to be scanned quantitatively for new product opportunities based upon the identification of one or more target customer needs is described. The identified target customer needs may be qualified, and one or more of the qualified target customer needs may be used to stimulate the generation of leads for new product concepts. In one aspect, a target customer need state is identified based upon an analysis of marketplace data. A map of a process for addressing the identified target customer need state is generated. The process map includes a network of tasks each having one or more associated values. A potential point of intervention in the process is identified based at least in part upon an analysis of the values associated with the tasks in the process map.

  • Publication number: 20030159821
Abstract: A tubing guide for directing coiled tubing through an injector apparatus and into a well. The tubing guide comprises a frame, which is also referred to as a tubing carrier, extending from a base. The shape of the tubing guide changes depending upon the natural radius of curvature of the tubing. The tubing carrier will conform to provide a path for the coiled tubing that more nearly approximates the residual radius of curvature of the coiled tubing. The carrier has a plurality of segments pivotably connected to one another. The segments can pivot and thus the carrier itself can move from a fully retracted position to a fully rotated position. In the fully rotated position, the carrier can approximate a radius larger than that in the fully closed position. The segments are allowed to pivot or rotate as the tubing is passing therethrough so that the shape of the carrier is continually adjusting so as to provide a more natural path for the coiled tubing.

  • Publication number: 20020124152
Abstract: A method and system for providing a computer system having a plurality of logical partitions with a virtual terminal is disclosed. The computer system is coupled to an external display device through a single communications interface. The method and system include allowing the logical partitions to share the communications interface by multiplexing communications to the display device for each of the logical partitions over the communication interface. Windows are displayed on the display device for each of the logical partitions, and the communications from each of the logical partitions is then routed to the corresponding window for display on the display device.

  • Publication number: 20020124151
Abstract: A method and apparatus for providing a computer system having a plurality of logical partitions with a virtual operator panel is disclosed. The method and apparatus include displaying a plurality of operator panels on a single console corresponding to each of the logical partitions, and providing a buffer for each logical partition. The status codes from each of the logical partitions are then written directly to the corresponding buffer. To display the status codes of one of the logical partitions, the status code from the buffer corresponding the logical partition is read and sent to the corresponding operator panel for display.
