  • Patent number: 12201888
Abstract: The disclosure is directed at a system and method of automated object launching, for replicating ball trajectories, for example with a baseball. The system receives an input from a user that includes trajectory information and then launches an object based on that trajectory. The system includes subsystems that control the orientation of the object to be launched and the position of the system itself. The system also includes a results tracking database to provide analytics and the like for the user.

  • Publication number: 20250021867
Abstract: A device may receive sensitive attribute data, model prediction data, and true target data associated with a regression machine learning model, and may determine quantities of Gaussian components for Gaussian mixtures. The device may generate Gaussian mixtures of the quantities of Gaussian components based on the sensitive attribute data, the model prediction data, and the true target data, and may determine parameters of estimates of conditional densities by the Gaussian mixtures based on the sensitive attribute data, the model prediction data, and the true target data. The device may calculate an independence measure, a separation measure, and a sufficiency measure of the regression machine learning model based on the Gaussian mixtures and the parameters of the estimates of the conditional densities. The device may perform actions based on one or more of the independence measure, the separation measure, or the sufficiency measure.

  • Publication number: 20250021868
Abstract: A device may receive protected attribute data, observation data, and target variable data associated with a machine learning model, and may include intersectional groups in the protected attribute data to expand a quantity of demographic subgroups and to generate modified protected attribute data. The device may calculate an expected proportion of individuals with the modified protected attribute data being in a particular group and the target variable data being positive, and may calculate an observed proportion of individuals with the modified protected attribute data being in the particular group and the target variable data being positive. The device may determine observation weights based on the expected proportion and the observed proportion, and may utilize the observation data and the observation weights to train the machine learning model and generate a trained machine learning model.

  • Patent number: 12133937
Abstract: Examples of air treatment systems for use in neutralizing airborne pathogens are disclosed herein. The air treatment systems comprise a housing, an air moving device, and one or more sources of ultraviolet light. An airflow may be directed through the enclosure by the air moving device and exposed to the ultraviolet light sources disposed within the enclosure. In some examples, the air treatment systems include one or more baffles disposed within the enclosure to disrupt the linear flow of air through the enclosure and cause more uniform exposure to the ultraviolet light emitted by the sources of ultraviolet light. Some examples may also include one or more air filters for removing particulate matter.

  • Patent number: 12047408
Abstract: Devices and techniques are generally described for anomalous network activity detection. In various examples, first application log data comprising a plurality of computer log actions may be received. A hidden Markov model associated may generate a first hidden state vector, where a first value of the first hidden state vector is associated with anomalous activity. A first timing vector associated with a first account may be determined, wherein the timing vector indicates first time periods of typical activity and second periods of typical inactivity for the first account. A first number of elements of the first hidden state vector that have the first value and which correspond to the second time periods of the first timing vector may be determined. Network access may be disabled for the first account.

  • Patent number: 12008732
Abstract: A method for super-resolution of block-compressed texture is provided. The method includes receiving a first texture block of a first block size. Based on application of a first block compression (BC) scheme on the received first texture block, coded-texture values are generated in a compressed domain. Further, a first machine learning model is applied on the generated coded-texture values to generate super-resolution coded-texture values in the compressed domain. The generated super-resolution coded-texture values are processed to generate a second texture block of a second block size. The second block size is greater than the first block size.

  • Patent number: 11865570
Abstract: A longitudinally adjustable flow divider situated in the particulate material path of a spinner spreader between the bin and the rotatable disc divides the particulate material so that the particulate material is dischargeable on to the upper surface of the rotatable disc on first and second laterally spaced apart longitudinally oriented drop lines. An actuator operably connected to the flow divider adjusts a longitudinal position of the flow divider to longitudinally adjust drop points on the drop lines at which the particulate material is dischargeable on to the rotatable disc. Longitudinal adjustment of the drop points along laterally spaced apart drop lines on one spinner disc permits control over spread pattern to help achieve uniform distribution of the particulate material on a ground surface.

  • Publication number: 20230224223
Abstract: Discussed herein are techniques that utilize hierarchical locality information of host machines included in a cluster network for the execution of general workloads. Hierarchical locality information for each host machine of a plurality of host machines is stored. The hierarchical locality information for a host machine identifying, for each locality of a plurality of localities, location information for the locality. Responsive to receiving a request requesting execution of a workload, the hierarchical locality information for the plurality of host machines is obtained and provided (e.g., to a customer) in response to the request.

  • Publication number: 20230213401
Abstract: The present disclosure provides systems and methods for determining residual tension of a target bolt. An example method may include modeling ratios of times-of-flight of longitudinal waves and times-of-flight of shear waves as a function of tension for a plurality of test bolts. The modeling may include receiving data from longitudinal wave and shear wave transducers, analyzing the data to assess certain quality characteristics, and using a machine learning algorithm to create the model. The example method may further include determining a ratio of a time-of-flight of longitudinal waves and a time-of-flight of shear waves in a target bolt. The example method may further include determining residual tension in the target bolt based on the model and the ratio of a time-of-flight of longitudinal waves and time-of-flight of shear waves in the target bolt.

  • Patent number: 11660633
Abstract: A method of controlling spread pattern of a particulate material broadcasted by a spinner spreader involves permitting particulate material to flow through a plurality of sluices situated in a particulate material path between a bin and a rotatable disc of a spinner spreader. Each sluice receives a portion of the particulate material and delivers the portion of particulate material to a radial and/or angular position on the rotatable disc. The radial and/or angular position on the rotatable disc to which the portion of particulate material from at least one of sluices is delivered is adjusted by longitudinally translating the at least one independently moveable sluice independent of all other sluices of the plurality of sluices to change position of the at least one independently moveable sluice relative to the rotating disc thereby changing the spread pattern of the particulate material broadcasted by the rotatable disc.
