  • Patent number: 7981535
Abstract: A battery holder assembly (219) includes a cavity structure (CS), a screw plate (SP), a spring electrical contact (SEC), an insulator cup (IC), and a pin (402). CS (392) defines a cavity (210) in a chassis panel (CP) of an electronic device (ED). SP (320) snugly fits within an opening in CP (212). SP has a base (702) forming a cover for enclosing the cavity. SP forms a connection with CS and a first terminal of a battery (318), when battery is positioned in the cavity and SP is fitted within the opening. SEC (802) provides a connection between battery and SP. IC (322) snugly receives battery therein. IC fits within the cavity and electrically insulates a second terminal of battery from CS. A battery contact (BC) is disposed on IC. BC (716, 412) provides a connection to the second terminal. Pin forms a connection between BC and ED.

  • Patent number: 7641516
Abstract: A connector (200) is provided that comprises a dielectric body (DB), pins (302), and a plate (800). Each pin is captured within DB (404) so as to extend therethrough. Each pin is defined by a pair of nubs (410, 510) extending from DB's opposing faces (408, 604), respectively. Each nub is movable along an axis aligned with an elongated length of the pin. The plate is formed of a planar conductive material secured to DB adjacent to a first opposing face. The plate comprises apertures through which the pins extend in a first direction. At least one aperture is sized and shaped to form an electrical connection between the plate and selected pins. Resilient spring fingers (RSF) are formed on a periphery of the plate. Each RSF (1006) extends away from DB in a direction between a plane defined by the first opposing face and first direction of the pins.

  • Patent number: 7223926
Abstract: A knob assembly for the switch of a radio is provided which prevents the switch from being rotated to certain positions except when the knob is moved in an axial direction after contact with a stop. The knob may be returned to a location where other switch positions may be selected without requiring further axial motion of the knob on the part of the radio operator.
