  • Publication number: 20130182984
Abstract: An inner ring member having multiple flange portions is formed by cold forging. A tapered surface is formed in a state of a forged surface on the inner ring member so as to gradually increase in diameter from an inner side toward an outer side in a vehicle lateral direction over a region from a position near root portions of inner side faces of the flange portions in the vehicle lateral direction to a position radially outward of an outer periphery of an outer end portion of an outer ring member in the vehicle lateral direction. A seal member is attached to the outer periphery of the outer end portion of the outer ring member. A seal lip that is in sliding contact with the tapered surface in the state of a forged surface is formed at a distal end portion of the seal member.

  • Publication number: 20130171010
Abstract: A control signal output unit obtains a motor control signal by applying a reduction amount for a current command value obtained by an over-power suppression control unit to a current command value from a host control unit. The over-power suppression control unit includes a hydraulic pressure estimation unit that estimates hydraulic pressure, and a current command value correction amount calculation unit that compares a target hydraulic pressure with an estimated hydraulic pressure and outputs the reduction amount for the current command value. Load information indicating whether a load on the pump is a low load or a high load that is higher than the low load is input into a control circuit from the host control unit, and the over-power suppression control unit changes the target hydraulic pressure in accordance with a magnitude of the load indicated by the load information.

  • Publication number: 20130171008
Abstract: In an electric pump system, hydraulic fluid that is stored in an oil pan is supplied to a transmission mechanism through an oil passage by driving an oil pump with the use of a motor. An EOPECU estimates a hydraulic pressure of the hydraulic fluid on the basis of a driving current for the motor and a rotation speed of the motor, and executes drive control on the motor on the basis of the estimated hydraulic pressure value.

  • Publication number: 20130160597
Abstract: A steering apparatus includes: a tilt angle adjustment mechanism; a telescopic mechanism; and a drive mechanism. The drive mechanism includes: a rotating member that is rotated by a motor; a transmission member that is coupled to the tilt angle adjustment mechanism; and a selector mechanism that changes a position of the rotating member. The rotating member has a protrusion that protrudes toward the transmission member, and the transmission member has a recess into which the protrusion is inserted. The selector mechanism inserts the protrusion into the recess by moving the rotating member to a coupling position, and removes the protrusion from the recess by moving the rotating member to a non-coupling position.

  • Publication number: 20130161113
Abstract: When an ECU is powered on, an overall control unit determines whether a temperature detected by a temperature sensor is lower than or equal to a predetermined temperature. When it is determined that the detected temperature is lower than or equal to the predetermined temperature, the overall control unit provides a second operation start command for operating a valve driving motor control unit in a rotation direction alternately switching mode, to the valve driving motor control unit. When the valve driving motor control unit receives the second operation start command from the overall control unit, the valve driving motor control unit starts operating in the rotation direction alternately switching mode.

  • Publication number: 20130160596
Abstract: When clamped side plates of an upper column bracket (movable bracket) are fastened via clamping side plates of an upper fixed bracket by a fastening shaft in response to a rotating operation of an operating lever, the brackets are locked with each other. A pressing mechanism that includes a pressing member moves in the axial direction of the fastening shaft in accordance with fastening by the fastening shaft, and presses a lower tube (inner tube) through an insertion hole formed in an upper tube (outer tube). The entirety of the axial force of the fastening shaft is used as a retaining force for retaining the posture of a steering column.

  • Publication number: 20130158806
Abstract: When a vehicle is quickly steered while the vehicle is travelling at an extremely low speed, a load on an in-vehicle power supply is reduced without deteriorating a steering feeling by reducing a motor driving current. A steering speed is compared with a threshold. When the steering speed is lower than the threshold, the process proceeds to step S6. In step S6, a voltage value of a battery power supply, which is used as a prescribed value, is set as a limit voltage in order to reduce a motor consumption current. When the steering speed is higher than the threshold, a value “V0/n” lower than the prescribed value is set as the limit voltage to reduce a consumption current when the steering wheel is steered without driving. “n” is “delay adjustment parameter”, and is a real number that exceeds 1.

  • Publication number: 20130149180
Abstract: In an internal gear pump that includes an inner gear having outer teeth and an outer gear having inner teeth, either the inner or outer teeth have a shape based on a tooth shape that is respectively formed by a generating curve of the outer or inner teeth. The inner teeth are arc-shaped, the outer teeth are curved-shaped, and both end sections of the curved shape are arc-shaped. If a radius of the arc shape of the inner teeth is set as ro, a radius of the arc shape of each of the corner sections is set as ri, a diameter of a pitch circle of the inner teeth is set as dp, and the number of the inner teeth is set as z, the inner gear and the outer gear each has a shape that satisfies a relationship established by following equations: 1.6>ro/(dp/z)>1.0; and ro/(dp/z)>ri/(dp/z)?0.13.

  • Publication number: 20130144493
Abstract: When a partial malfunction is detected, a sensor malfunction determination unit changes a control mode from a first control mode to a second control mode. When the control mode is changed from the first control mode to the second control mode, a steered system motor is rotated in a direction corresponding to a rotation direction of a steering wheel immediately before the partial malfunction occurs in the angle sensor. When the absolute value of a steering angular velocity of the steering wheel exceeds a threshold, it is determined that a driver has operated the steering wheel in a direction opposite to a current steered direction, and the rotation direction of the steered system motor is reversed.

  • Publication number: 20130134816
Abstract: Non-holding portions of a holding ring are demagnetized by supplying a nonmagnetic element to the non-holding portions while melting the non-holding portions by the application of heat. Each non-holding portion is demagnetized such that, from the melting center toward each melting end portion thereof, the material of the non-holding portion moderately changes from a nonmagnetic material to a ferromagnetic material. The permeability moderately changes, and hence generation of cogging torque during rotation of a rotor is suppressed.

  • Publication number: 20130138300
Abstract: In a vehicle steering system, when a sensor malfunction determination unit detects a malfunction of a rotation angle sensor, the sensor malfunction determination unit changes a control mode from a first control mode to a second control mode. In the second control mode, an actual rotor angle (mechanical angle) (?SM) of a steered system motor is computed on the basis of a second rotor angle (electric angle) (?SE2) estimated by a rotation angle estimation unit. Then, feedback control is executed such that the actual rotor angle (?SM) converges to a target rotor angle (?SM1*) that is obtained by superimposing a rotation maintaining command signal on a target rotor angle (?SM*) computed by a target rotor angle computation unit.

  • Publication number: 20130138296
Abstract: An acceleration sensor is attached to a rack housing. A FFT processing unit converts a signal output from the acceleration sensor, which is a time-domain signal, into a frequency-domain signal. An inverse input vibration component extraction unit extracts a signal, of which the frequency (f) falls within a predetermined range (fL?f?fH (fH>fL)) and of which the power density (?) falls within a predetermined range (?L????H (?H>?L)), from the frequency-domain signal obtained by the FFT processing unit. An IFFT processing unit converts the frequency-domain signal extracted by the inverse input vibration component extraction unit into a time-domain signal (estimated inverse input vibration).
