  • Publication number: 20130137341
Abstract: In a machining method of supporting a workpiece having a cylindrical machined portion such that the workpiece is rotatable and feeding a grinding wheel in a radial direction, a start diameter that is a diameter including a measurement start point on a surface of the machined portion is measured, and, after the measurement start point passes through a machining application portion, an end diameter that is a diameter including a measurement end point is measured. An actual grinding depth at the time when the measurement start point is machined is computed by the equation, U=|D0?D1|, a runout of the machined portion is computed from a relative difference in the actual grinding depth (U) between positions of the machined portion in a rotational direction, and infeed control of the grinding wheel is executed such that the runout is removed.

  • Publication number: 20130138297
Abstract: A damping control unit sets a damping torque command value that corresponds to a steering angular velocity when a direction of a detected steering torque is a turning direction, a magnitude of the detected steering torque is larger than or equal to a first threshold, a direction of the steering angular velocity is a returning direction and a magnitude of the steering angular velocity is higher than or equal to a second threshold. An addition unit adds the damping torque command value generated by the damping control unit to a basic assist torque command value set by a basic assist torque command value setting unit.

  • Publication number: 20130133974
Abstract: There is provided an urging mechanism that elastically urges a second end portion of a worm shaft that is supported so as to be pivotable about a first end portion. The urging mechanism is configured to adjust a backlash between the worm shaft and a worm wheel by elastically urging the second end portion in a perpendicular direction that is perpendicular to a direction in which an inter-axis distance between the worm shaft and the worm wheel increases and decreases, in a state where increases and decreases in the inter-axis distance is prevented.

  • Publication number: 20130134827
Abstract: Teeth coupling portions of a ring-shaped teeth member are demagnetized by supplying a nonmagnetic element to the teeth coupling portions while melting the teeth coupling portion by application of heat. Then, an inner peripheral portion of the ring-shaped teeth member is pressed radially outward. Therefore, it is possible to plastically deform the teeth coupling portions easily, so that the ring-shaped teeth member and a ring-shaped yoke member are easily fitted together. Accordingly, there is provided a method for manufacturing a stator for a motor, in which the amount of leakage flux is reduced and which has favorable magnetic characteristics.

  • Publication number: 20130134817
Abstract: At least part of each bridge portion is heated and molten to form a keyhole, and a nonmagnetic element is disposed around the keyhole. Thus, even when the width of the bridge portion in the radial direction is increased, the bridge portion is demagnetized. Therefore, leakage flux in the bridge portion is reduced, and the output power of a motor is increased. Moreover, by increasing the width of the bridge portion in the radial direction, the strength of the bridge portion is increased, and breakage of the bridge portion due to a centrifugal force at high-speed rotation of a rotor is prevented.

  • Publication number: 20130136633
Abstract: A pump housing, a fixing member and a holding member are assembled in the axis direction of an oil pump to fix a stator and a rotor of a brushless motor. The holding member is made of metal material and has a cylindrical shape that extends from its bottom portion toward one side in the axial direction. The fixing member is a cylindrical metal member. Stepped portions, extending in the circumferential direction, are formed in the outer periphery of the holding member and the inner periphery of the fixing member, and contact each other. The outer periphery of the holding member engages with the inner periphery of the fixing member. The outer periphery of the other end portion of the fixing member is fitted to the inner periphery of a flange portion projecting from the end face of the pump housing, which is adjacent to the brushless motor.

  • Publication number: 20130131927
Abstract: A four-wheel steering control system includes; a torque sensor that detects a steering torque based on an operation of a steering member; a steering angle sensor that detects a steering angle; a steering assist control unit that calculates an assist force for steering front wheels based on the value detected by the torque sensor; and a steered system control unit that executes steered control on rear wheels based on the value detected by the steering angle sensor or the value detected by the torque sensor. When it is determined that there is a failure in a function of the steering assist control unit, the steered system control unit executes the steered control such that the rear wheels are steered only on the side where the steered angle of the rear wheels is opposite in phase from the steering angle of the steering member.

  • Publication number: 20130121755
Abstract: An annular groove, in which a lower end of a boot is fitted, is formed in an outer periphery of an open end of a housing so as to extend in a circumferential direction of the housing. The annular groove is defined by a cylindrical face, an upper inner wall, and a lower inner wall. By fitting a clip onto a cylindrical portion of the lower end of the boot, the cylindrical portion is pushed against the cylindrical face, and an inner end portion and a folded-back portion are pushed against the upper inner wall and the lower inner wall, respectively. The inner end portion has an annular protrusion that is engaged with the upper inner wall and elastically contracted when the lower end of the boot is fitted in the annular groove.

  • Publication number: 20130116890
Abstract: A steering angle detecting unit, a reaction force actuator that applies steering reaction force to a steering member, a yaw angle detecting unit that detects a yaw angle of a vehicle body, and a reaction force actuator control unit that sets the steering reaction force as a function of a steering angle and that controls the reaction force actuator such that the reaction force actuator generates the set steering reaction force, are provided. The reaction force actuator control unit computes a turning angle of the vehicle body on the basis of a change in the yaw angle of the vehicle body, detected by the yaw angle detecting unit. When the computed turning angle is larger than or equal to a reference angle, the steering reaction force applied to the steering member is increased.

  • Publication number: 20130113471
Abstract: A torque sensor computes a steering torque applied to a steering wheel on the basis of a difference between a rotation angle of an input shaft, which is detected using a first resolver, and a rotation angle of a lower shaft, which is detected using a second resolver. A planetary gear mechanism that includes a sun gear that rotates together with the input shaft, a planetary gear that is made of a magnetic material and that revolves around the sun gear and an internal gear that is in mesh with the planetary gear is provided. A rotation angle of the input shaft and a position of the planetary gear are detected on the basis of voltage signals output from the first resolver, and a steering angle of the steering wheel is obtained on the basis of the detected rotation angle and the detected position.

  • Publication number: 20130109521
Abstract: Three links (40) within one width-direction unit (54) are included in respectively different link units (46). The links in the first row and the sixth row from the right end and the left end of a chain are included in the same link unit (first link unit 46-1). The links in the second row and the fifth row are included in the same link unit (second link unit 46-2). The links in the ninth row and the tenth row are included in the same link unit other than the link unit in which the links in the second row and the fifth row are included (first link unit 46-1 or third link unit 46-3). With the above structure, the stress amplitude of the links forming a chain for a chain-type continuously variable transmission can be reduced.

  • Publication number: 20130109515
Abstract: A chain is formed by coupling chain elements including plate-shape links arranged in the width direction of the chain and pins (42) extending through the links in the width direction of the chain, in the circumferential direction of the chain. The pin (42) is clamped between two opposing substantially conical surfaces 24 and 26 of a pulley (12). The deformation ratio of the pin length when the pin is clamped by the pulley is set to be 1.3×10?6 (1/N) or greater. The deformation ratio of the pin length is represented by (deformation ratio)=?L/(F×L), wherein L indicates a length of the pin, F indicates a load applied to the pin, and ?L indicates a deformation quantity. Thus, noise of a chain-type continuously variable transmission in the frequency band of 3 to 5 kHz can be reduced.
