The separator with improved compression resistance is not easily deformed by well resisting pressure applied thereto during a lamination process in which an electrode and the separator are applied with heat and pressure so as to be bonded to each other. In addition, when pressure is applied, the coating layer serves as a buffer, thereby reducing the pressing force exerted on the porous substrate.
