Abstract: The present disclosure provides systems and methods that makes use of one or more image sensors of a device to provide users with information relating to nearby points of interest. The image sensors may be used to detect features and/or objects in the field of view of the image sensors. Pose data, including a location and orientation of the device is then determined based on the one or more detected features and/or objects. A plurality of points of interest that are within a geographical area that is dependent on the pose data are then determined. The determination may, for instance, be made by querying a mapping database for points of interest that are known to be located within a particular distance of the location of the user. The device then provides information to the user indicating one or more of the plurality of points of interest.

Abstract: The present application satisfies the need to provide a teaching aid system that can connect to a projector, television or screen for interaction by means of a light pen. The electronic system comprises, among others elements, a fixed piece and a movable piece with an internal pivot shaft, the fixed part containing a wireless routing system. The fixed part has outlet ports for video, and Ethernet network and communication ports. The movable piece contains an image capture sensor, a sound sensor and an infrared radiation source sensor. The system also comprises internal components such as an integrated computer that is connected to a motherboard. The sound sensor and the infrared radiation source sensor are contained in the movable part and are connected by means of flexible wires to the motherboard or directly to the integrated computer. Abstract: Disclosed herein are compositions comprising insoluble alpha-glucan particles having a high degree of crystallinity and small particle size. For example, the alpha-glucan particles can have a degree of crystallinity of at least about 0.65, and/or an average size of less than a micron. At least 50% of the glycosidic linkages of the insoluble alpha-glucan in the disclosed particles are alpha-1,3 glycosidic linkages. Further disclosed are methods of producing insoluble alpha-glucan particles, as well as their use in various applications and products.
