  • Publication number: 20230079366
Abstract: An aerosol-generating device is disclosed. The aerosol-generating device of the present disclosure includes a first container configured to accommodate an aerosol-generating substance, a heater configured to heat the aerosol-generating substance, a shunt resistor electrically connected to the heater and receiving voltage corresponding to the current flowing through the heater, and a controller. When the voltage applied to the shunt resistor is lower than a preset reference voltage, the controller changes at least one of the level of electric power supplied to the heater when the heater generates heat or the time period for which the electric power is supplied. When the number of times that the voltage applied to the shunt resistor is lower than the reference voltage exceeds a predetermined number of times, the controller determines that the remaining amount of the aerosol-generating substance is less than a minimum amount.
