  • Publication number: 20100200486
Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus for treating a medical liquid which includes a treatment machine having a coupling surface, with a cassette made of a hard part having liquid-conducting passages which are covered by a flexible film being able to be coupled to the coupling surface of the treatment machine. The invention furthermore relates to a corresponding medical cassette. In accordance with the invention, an air-free coupling of the flexible film of the cassette to the treatment machine is ensured in that air can be sucked out areally along a plane between the flexible film and the coupling surface during the coupling process and/or with a coupled cassette. The invention equally includes a method for coupling the cassette and a method for checking the leaktightness of the cassette via the vacuum control of the air suction.

  • Publication number: 20100087772
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for the emptying of a blood tubing set of a blood treatment device comprising an extracorporeal blood circuit including a membrane filter having a first chamber and a second chamber separated therefrom by a membrane, said first chamber being flowed through by blood in operation of the blood treatment device and said second chamber being flowed through by filtrate in operation of the blood treatment device, and said blood tubing set including an arterial blood tube and a venous blood tube which are both in communication with the first chamber of the membrane filter and which conduct blood from the patient to the membrane filter and from the membrane filter to the patient in operation of the blood treatment device, and comprising a substituate line which opens into the arterial blood tube and/or into the venous blood tube, and comprising a substituate pump which is in communication with the substituate line such that it conveys substituate from a substituate source through the

  • Publication number: 20050245889
Abstract: The invention relates to a disposable cassette, preferably for use in analysis technology, consisting of at least one first part in which channel structures are cut out in the surface and of a second part covering it in a sealing manner, with engagement regions for actuator elements being provided at pre-determined points. In accordance with the invention, the first part and/or the second part are made rigidly for the greater part; with them, however, having flexibly made regions, with the rigid and flexible regions being manufactured in one piece using two-component injection molding technology.

  • Patent number: 6672841
Abstract: The present invention relates to a pumping device for delivering and metering fluids, in particular medical fluids such as dialysis fluids, with a piston unit having a driving device and a piston and with a membrane unit which has a membrane and a first chamber bordered by the membrane. The pumping device also has a hydraulic unit which has a space to accommodate a hydraulic fluid which is connected to the piston of the piston unit and to the first chamber of the membrane unit. The reliability of metering by such a pumping device is increased by providing a control unit for guaranteeing a predefinable metering rate and/or quantity and also providing a measuring device by means of which the axial position of the piston unit can be determined directly and which can be connected to the control unit.

  • Patent number: 6244295
Abstract: The invention relates to a check valve with a tubular valve housing in which a valve ball is received. To make a large flow cross section available and to prevent closure by the valve ball when the check valve is fully open, a perforated disk is press-fitted between longitudinally extending guide ribs of the valve housing and a circumferential wall of the valve housing there is an interstice as an outflow opening, which is not closed even the valve ball contacts the perforated disk. The valve housing is made by stamping, in which the guide ribs and a valve seat are made in one operation and are thereby aligned exactly with one another. In this way, a small radial play of the valve ball can be realized.

  • Patent number: 6113364
Abstract: A pump housing, including a pump unit having a collection chamber that receives leaking brake fluid. In the installed position of the pump unit, an outflow bore leads downward from the collection chamber to the ambient air. A body which in one direction allows the outflow of leaking brake fluid and in another direction prevents the entry of splashing water and standing water is press-fitted into the outflow bore. The body comprises a porous sintered metal and on the ambient air side has a flat face end, while its face end toward the collection chamber is embodied in raised fashion.

  • Patent number: 6017099
Abstract: The vibration damper has a sleevelike shaped part comprising an elastomer as a diaphragm. The shaped part is received tightly on the opening end of a bore of a housing and surrounds an extension of a support body disposed in the bore. Provided on a side face of the extension is a groove, which communicates with a chamber in the extension. The shaped part, which on its outside is exposed to the brake fluid, with the inside of its jacket wall defines a hollow chamber, formed toward the extension of the support body and having atmospheric pressure. The vibration damper can be used in a slip-controlled hydraulic brake systems of motor vehicles.
