  • Publication number: 20030037137
Abstract: A system and procedure for controlling and monitoring programs in a computer network system. An important advantage of the present invention is that a user interface for controlling and monitoring the programs in the computer network system remains unchanged when compared to the user interface of single computers. The computer network simulates a single computer. The system administrator controls and monitors the programs in the computer network system as in a single computer. The user interface is independent of the computer, i.e. the system administrator only needs to call one computer in the computer network system. The selection of the computer in the computer network system is carried out by automatic addressing. This computer is responsible for centralized control and monitoring in the whole computer network. The selection is made dynamically, i.e. other computers or several computers at the same time can take over the these central functions (dynamic centralization).

  • Patent number: 6503339
Abstract: The invention relates to a method to produce non-grain-oriented magnetic steel sheet made of thin-slab or slab casting with low specific total loss and high polarisation and favourable mechanical properties. It is a characteristic of the invention that the steel slabs are hot rolled either directly from the casting heat or after a reheating to T≧900 ° C. and two or more metal forming passes are performed in the two-phase region austenite/ferrite in the course of finishing rolling.

  • Publication number: 20020113646
Abstract: A circuit for widening the stereobase in the reproduction of stereophonic sound signals contains one amplifier (10, 34) each for the stereo signals assigned to the right-hand and left-hand channel. Each amplifier (10, 34) comprises a non-inverting input (16, 36) for the corresponding stereo signal and an inverting input (18, 42) for an output signal fed back via a first resistor (R1, R5) from the amplifier output (20, 40). An ON/OFF connection is provided between the inverting inputs (18, 42) of both amplifiers (10, 34). The connection between the inverting inputs (18, 42) of the two amplifiers (10, 34) is formed by two amplifiers (48, 50) circuited in antiparallel as voltage followers and a second resistor (R8, R9) connected in series with the output of each amplifier (48, 50).

  • Patent number: 6387345
Abstract: In the process for working up the reaction gas consisting of chlorine, hydrogen chloride, oxygen and water vapour produced in a chlorine reactor, the reaction gas leaving the reactor 1 is first cooled until the water of reaction and hydrogen chloride condense in the form of concentrated hydrochloric acid. The concentrated hydrochloric acid is then separated from the reaction gas in a phase separation column 3 and discharged. The remaining reaction gas, from which the substantial proportion of the water and a proportion of the hydrogen chloride has been removed, is then post-dried in a drying tower 6. The post-dried reaction gas consisting of chlorine, oxygen and hydrogen chloride is then compressed to 1 to 30 bar by a compressor 7. In the subsequent stage, the compressed reaction gas is passed through a cooled chlorine recuperator 8, wherein the chlorine is very largely liquefied.

  • Publication number: 20020037790
Abstract: A method for driving a drive assembly in a drive system having an automatic transmission and an automatic clutch optionally coupling the drive assembly to the automatic transmission in order to transmit torque includes the following steps. Sensing whether a procedure, in particular a gearshift operation, is to be conducted. After the procedure has been sensed, predefining, for at least one time segment of the procedure which is to be carried out a prediction profile for an operational variable that characterizes the operating state of the drive assembly. And, driving the drive assembly based on the predefined prediction profile of the operational variable to minimize a deviation between the operational variable and the prediction profile.

  • Publication number: 20010025625
Abstract: In a method of recognizing the ignition stroke in a single-cylinder four-stroke engine, the position and the angular speed of the crankshaft are determined. The period duration is measured from the top of dead center to a defined angle of rotation of the crankshaft, and the measured period durations of two successive revolutions of the crankshaft are compared. The ignition stroke takes place during the rotation of the crankshaft having the shorter period duration.

  • Publication number: 20010018710
Abstract: The present invention controls the automation process in a computer network system. The major advantage of the present invention is based on the introduction of an Abstract Resource Model. This model results in the automation being divided into two: an automation execution component (Automation Agent or Resource Agent); and an automation decision-making component (Automation Manager or Resource Manager). The automation execution component controls how programs or resources are run within a specific environment. For this, the automation execution component has at its disposal predefined routines to start, stop or monitor a program. The automation execution component is preferentially installed on the computer on which the program or resource is installed. The automation decision-making component controls when a program or resource is run on an abstract decision-making level. The automation decision-making component stores the dependencies of the programs or resources for starting or stopping.

  • Patent number: 5856231
Abstract: A process for producing high-resistance SiC from low-resistance SiC starting material. The flat (shallow) donor levels of a prevailing nitrogen impurity are overcompensated by admixture of a trivalent doping element with the concentration of the doping element in the SiC being such that it changes the conductivity type from a n-conductivity to a p-conductivity. In addition, a transition element is added having donor levels approximately in the middle of the SiC energy gap, so that the excess acceptor levels are in turn compensated and a high specific resistance is achieved.

  • Patent number: 5307610
Abstract: In order to be able to produce packages economically and when the package design results in undercuts being provided in a deep-drawing tool for its manufacture, a simple and practical solution for the movement of the lower parts in each of the required work stations is advantageous. These lower parts are generally vertically movable in order to be able to easily open the mold. An inclined opening of the mold or rather removal of the lower part is achieved according to the invention in such a manner that between the lower part of the tool and the lifting device for facilitating its vertical movement there is provided a carriage guide which enables also an easy horizontal movement. A guide pin fastened on the carriage guide is part of a guide system which controls a desired forced inclined guided opening of the mold. The guide system can be used in deep-drawing tools, sealing tools and similar ones.
