  • Patent number: 12231259
Abstract: A message ID decoding method is provided for a system comprising multiple components interlinked by a Controller Area Network bus (CAN-bus) through which messages are sent. The method includes acquiring a CAN-bus message data stream including multiple CAN-bus messages, each including a CAN ID indicating a component from which the corresponding CAN-bus message originated; storing the CAN-bus messages in a first datastore; acquiring an electricity consumption signal indicative of the consumption of the component; storing the electricity consumption signal in a second datastore; generating multiple time-stamp bins each corresponding to an interval in time; selecting the CAN ID and a portion of the electricity consumption signal being from the interval in time corresponding to the time-stamp bin; and determining a regression coefficient, R, indicating a level of relatedness between the selected CAN ID and portion, thereby correlating the CAN ID of the selected CAN-bus message with the component.

  • Patent number: 12102101
Abstract: A system configured to hydrate and process foodstuff materials can include an exterior tube, an inner shaft, and multiple water inlets. The exterior tube can have a foodstuff inlet, an outlet, and a longitudinal axis, and can facilitate the conveyance of foodstuff materials along a material passage from the foodstuff inlet to the outlet. The inner shaft can be located within the exterior tube, can extend along the longitudinal axis, and can combine with the exterior tube to define the material passage. The inner shaft can be configured to be rotationally driven and can include one or more particle resizing features extending therefrom. The multiple water inlets can be spaced apart along the length of the material passage and can be configured to provide water to the foodstuff materials at different locations along the length of the material passage as the foodstuff materials are being conveyed along the material passage.

  • Patent number: 12075798
Abstract: Systems and methods describe improvements in the automated production of meat analogues. Ingredients are provided, including oil, water, binding agent(s), and one or more forms of protein to be separately and continuously conveyed through a facility. Concurrently to the ingredients being conveyed through the facility, a number of actions occur. The system emulsifies the oil, water, and binding agent(s) within an emulsifying machine to form a final emulsion. A hydration process is separately applied to at least one of the forms of protein. The system mixes and conveys the protein(s) with the final emulsion in a final mixer to form a final dough.

  • Publication number: 20240169817
Abstract: A method to be carried out at an electronic device for detecting proximity to another electronic device is described. The electronic devices are capable of interaction through both low-accuracy sensing and high accuracy sensing. Low-accuracy sensing is used until a potential proximity event is detected. High-accuracy sensing is then activated, and attempts are made using high-accuracy sensing to detect a further potential proximity event corresponding to the potential proximity event. A determination is then made as to whether a proximity event has taken place—this is done using the further potential proximity event if detected, and using the potential proximity event otherwise. A suitable electronic device is also described, as is a method of training electronic devices to detect proximity to other electronic devices using a proximity estimation algorithm.

  • Publication number: 20230181481
Abstract: Present application relates to a strategy for compensating for transesterification degradation of lipid-encapsulated SARS-CoV-2 mRNA vaccine, in liquid formulations for high-volume distribution. This involves determining the rate of degradation of the encapsulated RNA and calculating an appropriate overage relative to the intended dose. Alternatively, a higher dose of the RNA may be administered to compensate for loss of effective RNA or the RNA may be formulated in higher purity in anticipation of degradation. The strategy provides a balance between supplying effective and safe products and the need for costly manufacturing processes or transportation hurdles, such as cold-chain supply.
