Patent number: 11966228Abstract: In various examples, a current claimed set of points representative of a volume in an environment occupied by a vehicle at a time may be determined. A vehicle-occupied trajectory and at least one object-occupied trajectory may be generated at the time. An intersection between the vehicle-occupied trajectory and an object-occupied trajectory may be determined based at least in part on comparing the vehicle-occupied trajectory to the object-occupied trajectory. Based on the intersection, the vehicle may then execute the first safety procedure or an alternative procedure that, when implemented by the vehicle when the object implements the second safety procedure, is determined to have a lesser likelihood of incurring a collision between the vehicle and the object than the first safety procedure.Type: GrantFiled: December 16, 2022Date of Patent: April 23, 2024Assignee: NVIDIA CorporationInventors: David Nister, Hon-Leung Lee, Julia Ng, Yizhou Wang

Patent number: 11926346Abstract: In various examples, a yield scenario may be identified for a first vehicle. A wait element is received that encodes a first path for the first vehicle to traverse a yield area and a second path for a second vehicle to traverse the yield area. The first path is employed to determine a first trajectory in the yield area for the first vehicle based at least on a first location of the first vehicle at a time and the second path is employed to determine a second trajectory in the yield area for the second vehicle based at least on a second location of the second vehicle at the time. To operate the first vehicle in accordance with a wait state, it may be determined whether there is a conflict between the first trajectory and the second trajectory, where the wait state defines a yielding behavior for the first vehicle.Type: GrantFiled: August 5, 2021Date of Patent: March 12, 2024Assignee: NVIDIA CorporationInventors: Fangkai Yang, David Nister, Yizhou Wang, Rotem Aviv, Julia Ng, Birgit Henke, Hon Leung Lee, Yunfei Shi

Publication number: 20230364014Abstract: Gels are formed based on generally recognized as safe (GRAS) low molecular weight amphiphilic molecules in a self-assembly process. Therapeutic or prophylactic agents, such as biological macromolecules, are loaded without exposure to temperatures and/or organic solvents which can degrade or destroy the biologic agents and/or their activity. The resulting self-assembled gel composition contains microstructures having pores and aqueous domains at their interior, rendering them permeable to hydrophilic and hydrophobic molecules. This permeability allows sequestration of the biological macromolecules. Once sequestered, the electrostatic, hydrophobic-hydrophobic etc. interactions between the biological macromolecules and the amphiphilic gelators keep the labile payload encapsulated with high stability until the microstructures are degraded.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 26, 2023Publication date: November 16, 2023Applicant: Alivio Therapeutics, Inc.Inventors: Gregory T. Publication number: 20210321322Abstract: An apparatus and method for improved data speeds for wireless device are discloses. The wireless device locates at a first location within a first cell, and detects a failure to acquire SIB of the first cell. A waiting period is started in response to the failure to prohibit selecting the first cell during the waiting period. After determining that the wireless device has left a vicinity of the first location in the first cell, the wireless device connects to the telecommunication network via the first cell before an expiration of the waiting period. According to the disclosure, the wireless device does not need to wait for the expiration of the waiting period before recom1ecting to the first cell. The wireless device does not need to connect to a lower data rate cell during the waiting period when the first cell is available. The user experience is improved.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 12, 2019Publication date: October 14, 2021Inventors: Julia Wang, Limei Wang

Patent number: 10588153Abstract: A processing device and associated method are provided for receiving a connection request from an application running as a background process on a wireless communication device, and determining whether one or more random access procedure criteria of a random access procedure is met. The random access procedure establishes a communication connection of the wireless communication device for the connection request. In response to the determination that the one or more random access procedure criteria is met, at least one aspect of the random access procedure is restricted, utilizing one or more processors. Further, the random access procedure is performed with a restriction of the at least one aspect to establish the communication connection for the connection request.Type: GrantFiled: June 1, 2017Date of Patent: March 10, 2020Assignee: Futurewei Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Julia Wang, Limei Wang

Patent number: 10462725Abstract: A system and method for improving the user experience with a mobile wireless device by reconnecting to a faster speed connection after being rejected for the higher speed by an overloaded cell before expiration of a de-prioritization timer when the mobile wireless device travels away from the overloaded cell. In an embodiment, a method includes receiving from the first cell a connection rejection instructing the mobile wireless device to de-prioritize one or more frequencies of the first connection technology and a de-prioritization timer indicating a time period for the frequencies to remain de-prioritized; determining that the mobile wireless device has left the coverage area of the first cell; and connecting to a second cell of the telecommunication network via a connection in the one or more frequencies of the first connection technology prior to the expiration of the de-prioritization timer.Type: GrantFiled: September 28, 2016Date of Patent: October 29, 2019Assignee: Futurewei Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Julia Wang, Navid Nader, Zhiping Jia

Patent number: 10462711Abstract: The disclosure includes a method for rapidly recovering the speed of TCP transmission after a cross technology handover experienced by a mobile device. In the method, the mobile device receives a sequentially first TCP data packet after the cross technology handover completes via a TCP session between the mobile device and a remote TCP server, generates a first acknowledgement (ACK) associated with the sequentially first TCP data packet, where the first ACK comprises a first Selective ACK (SACK) option, removes the first SACK option from the first ACK when a gap exists between data in the sequentially first TCP data packet and data received before the cross technology handover occurs, and sends the first ACK without the first SACK option to the remote TCP server via the TCP session. Because the ACK is without the SACK option when the gap exists, the speed of TCP transmission will be recovered rapidly.Type: GrantFiled: February 7, 2017Date of Patent: October 29, 2019Assignee: Futurewei Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Jing Yu, Julia Wang, Yumin Tang

Patent number: 10271298Abstract: In certain embodiments, a method includes initiating, by a mobile device, an attempt to connect to a visiting network and receiving, by the mobile device in response to the attempt to connect to the visiting network, a rejection from the visiting network. The method includes initiating, by the mobile device in response to the rejection from the visiting network, a limited-services timer to initiate a limited-services state for the mobile device. The mobile device is subscribed to a service on a home network of the mobile device and is prevented in the limited-services state from attempting to access the service. The method further includes detecting, by the mobile device prior to expiration of the limited-services timer, availability of the home network and permitting, by the mobile device prior to expiration of the limited-service timer, the mobile device to attempt to connect to the home network for accessing the service.Type: GrantFiled: June 28, 2018Date of Patent: April 23, 2019Assignee: Futurewei Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Tongzeng Yang, Julia Wang
