    Abstract: A PDA holding unit and holding case therefor, for securing and holding in place a personal digital assistant (PDA) device. The PDA holding unit includes a base member having an upper surface for receiving and holding a PDA device and a lower surface. The upper surface having a plurality of gripping elements thereon for frictionally engaging the PDA device. The PDA holding unit also includes a first gripping arm movably attached to a first side of the base member for engaging and holding the PDA device in place on the base member; and a second gripping arm attached to a second side of the base member for engaging and holding the PDA device in place on the base member. The PDA holding unit further includes third and fourth gripping arms attached to one end of the base member for engaging and holding the PDA device in place on the base member.
