  • Publication number: 20120066564
Abstract: To feedback MIMO channel conditions, a codeword from a codebook is selected. To reduce signalling, the codewords are organized into codeword subsets. The receiver signals an index of a codeword into a current 5 codeword subset previously made known to the transmitter. The current codeword subset is adaptively selected based on a threshold criterion. For example, if the best codeword from the current codeword subset is not sufficiently similar to the best codeword in the full codebook, a switch in the codeword subset is made.

  • Publication number: 20120061718
Abstract: There is provided an electronic device having high reliability and high color reproducibility. A pixel structure is made such that a switching FET (201) and an electric current controlling FET (202) are formed on a single crystal semiconductor substrate (11), and an EL element (203) is electrically connected to the electric current controlling FET (202). The fluctuation in characteristics of the electric current controlling FET (202) is very low among pixels, and an image with high color reproducibility can be obtained. By taking hot carrier measures in the electric current controlling FET (202), the electronic device having high reliability can be obtained.

  • Publication number: 20120063796
Abstract: An image forming apparatus capable of making image quality more stable than in the prior art. An electrostatic latent image is formed on the surface of a photosensitive member based on an image signal. A developing device develops the electrostatic latent image on the photosensitive member by toner to thereby form a patch image. An optical sensor detects the density of the patch image. A toner charge amount is calculated from the density detected by the optical sensor, and a change in the toner charge amount is predicted based on a plurality of results of the calculation of the toner charge amount. The image forming apparatus generates a ?LUT for use in correcting the relationship between the image signal and the density based on the predicted change in the toner charge amount.

  • Publication number: 20120062813
Abstract: Photolithography and etching steps for forming an island-shaped semiconductor layer are omitted, and a liquid crystal display device is manufactured with four photolithography steps: a step of forming a gate electrode (including a wiring formed using the same layer as the gate electrode), a step of forming source and drain electrodes (including a wiring formed using the same layer as the source and drain electrodes), a step of forming a contact hole (including the removal of an insulating layer and the like in a region other than the contact hole), and a step of forming a pixel electrode (including a wiring formed using the same layer as the pixel electrode). By the reduction in the number of photolithography steps, a liquid crystal display device can be provided at low cost and high productivity. Formation of a parasitic channel is prevented by an improvement in shape and potential of a wiring.

  • Publication number: 20120066532
Abstract: An electronic device includes a dynamic memory, a static memory, a detection unit, a copy unit and a set unit. The dynamic memory stores an interrupt monitoring program. The interrupt monitoring program monitors whether an interrupt request is generated, and generates an interrupt signal when the interrupt request is generated. The detection unit detects whether the electronic device needs to enter a sleep mode, and generates a detection signal if the electronic device needs to enter the sleep mode. The copy unit copies the interrupt monitoring program from the dynamic memory to the static memory in response to the detection signal, and runs the interrupt monitoring program in the static memory for monitoring whether an interrupt signal is generated. The set unit sets the dynamic memory into a self-refresh mode in response to the detection signal.

  • Publication number: 20120063732
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure disclose an optical cable and an optical cable system, where the optical cable includes an SZ-shaped optical cable skeleton and a plurality of optical fiber units. Skeleton slots is recessed in a periphery of the optical cable skeleton, and the plurality of optical fiber units is grouped and respectively disposed in the corresponding skeleton slots, thereby having the advantages of being easy to strip and draw, high reliability, and long lifetime. Moreover, the optical fiber does not need to be connected when being diverged on floors during installation, thereby reducing the fusion splicing/termination connection time, simplifying the optical cable wiring, greatly reducing deployment cost of an Optical Distribution Network (ODN), and speeding up the scale deployment of the FTTX ODN; in addition, interference among the optical fibers is avoided when the optical fibers are drawn, thereby increasing reliability of the optical fibers after installation.

  • Publication number: 20120063673
Abstract: A method and apparatus to generate an object descriptor using extended curvature gabor filters. The method and apparatus may increase a recognition rate of even a relatively small image with use of an extended number of curvature gabor filters having controllable curvatures and may reduce the amount of calculation required for face recognition by performing the face recognition using only some of the extended curvature gabor filters which have a great effect on the recognition rate. The object descriptor generating method includes extracting gabor features from an input object image by applying a plurality of curvature gabor filters, generated via combination of a plurality of curvatures and a plurality of Gaussian magnitudes, to the object image, and generating an object descriptor for object recognition by projecting the extracted features onto a predetermined base vector.
