  • Publication number: 20060259817
Abstract: A battery pack apparatus including at least one battery assembly, a plurality of medium feeding parts for adjusting temperatures of the battery assembly, at least one temperature detector, a storage unit, and a controller. The storage unit stores a relation between a temperature of the battery assembly and a revolution level of the medium feeding parts. The controller reads out a revolution level corresponding to the detected temperature of the battery assembly from the storage unit, and allocates the revolution level to the medium feeding parts. The controller changes the value of the revolution levels allocated to the respective medium feeding parts based on the allocated revolution levels so that any one of the revolution levels of the plurality of the medium feeding parts is different from the other revolution levels thereof, and controls the plurality of medium feeding parts at changed revolution levels.

  • Publication number: 20060255448
Abstract: A first wiring member and a second wiring member, through which currents flow in directions opposite to each other, each have a flat plate shape and are arranged to be adjacent and opposed to each other, to thereby reduce inductances of the first wiring member and the second wiring member due to an effect of a mutual inductance. A joint of the first wiring member and a joint of the second wiring member are joined to the positive terminal and the negative terminal of the semiconductor device through ultrasonic bonding, respectively. As a result, the joint of the first wiring member and the joint of the second wiring member are not required to be provided with exclusive portions for screw mounting unlike a conventional manner, so each of the joints can have a small area, to thereby making it possible to reduce inductances of the first wiring member and the second wiring member.

  • Publication number: 20060259480
Abstract: A method and system for adapting search results of a query to the information needs of the user submitting the query is provided. A search system analyzes click-through triplets indicating that a user submitted a query and that the user selected a document from the results of the query. To overcome the large size and sparseness of the click-through data, the search system when presented with an input triplet comprising a user, a query, and a document determines a probability that the user will find the input document important by smoothing the click-through triplets. The search system then orders documents of the result based on the probability of their importance to the input user.

  • Publication number: 20060255463
Abstract: An electrical interconnection for a highly integrated semiconductor device includes a first insulation layer having at least a first recessed portion on a substrate. The first recessed portion is filled with metal to form a first metal pattern. A diffusion barrier layer including aluminum oxide of high light transmittance is provided on the first insulation layer and the first metal pattern for preventing metal from diffusing. An insulating interlayer including a second recessed portion for exposing an upper surface of the first metal pattern is provided on the diffusion barrier layer. The second recessed portion is filled with metal to form a second metal pattern. The electrical interconnection may be used with an image sensor. The metal may be copper. High light transmittance of the diffusion barrier layer ensures external light reaches the photodetector. The aluminum oxide of the diffusion barrier layer reduces parasitic capacitance of the electrical interconnections.

  • Publication number: 20060258069
Abstract: A semiconductor device includes a substrate having an insulating film on its surface, and ac active layer made of a semiconductive thin film on the substrate surface. The thin film contains a mono-domain region formed of multiple columnar and/or needle-like crystals parallel to the substrate surface without including crystal boundaries therein, allowing the active layer to consist of the mono-domain region only. The insulating film underlying the active layer has a specific surface configuration of an intended pattern in profile, including projections or recesses. To fabricate the active layer, form a silicon oxide film by sputtering on the substrate. Pattern the silicon oxide film providing the surface configuration. Form an amorphous silicon film by low pressure CVD on the silicon oxide film. Retain in the silicon oxide film and/or the amorphous silicon film certain metallic element for acceleration of silicon film to a crystalline silicon film.
