    Abstract: In the field of network communications, a method, a system, a gateway device, and an authentication server for allocating multi-service resources while multiple services of a same user access to a network are provided. The method includes the following steps. A service request message sent by a first service terminal is received. Service capability and user identification of the first service terminal and a count of available resources that corresponds to the user identification are obtained. Resources are allocated for the first service terminal based on the service capability and the user identification of the first service terminal and the count of the available resources that corresponds to the user identification. Thus, the configuration of the gateway device is simplified, and the scale deployment for different services is achieved.

The method comprises adding bumps, sawing the saw streets from the front of a wafer, molding the front of the wafer, grinding the back of the wafer, sawing the saw streets from the back of the wafer, molding the back of the wafer, and sawing between devices to form a plurality of packaged devices. Sawing the saw streets from the front of the wafer establishes a first cut. Molding the front of the wafer includes using a first mold compound such that the mold compound fills in the first cut. Sawing the saw streets from the back of the wafer establishes a second cut.

    Abstract: A method for manufacturing functionally graded cemented tungsten carbide with hard and wear-resistant surface and tough core is described. The said functionally graded cemented tungsten carbide (WC—Co) has a surface layer having a reduced amount of cobalt. Such a hard surface and tough core structure is an example of functionally graded materials in which mechanical properties are optimized by the unique combination of wear-resistance and toughness. WC—Co with reduced-cobalt surface layer may be fabricated through a carburization heat treatment process following conventional liquid phase sintering. The graded WC—Co thus obtained contains no brittle ? phase.

    Abstract: In one embodiment the present invention includes a method of manufacturing a chip scale package. Embodiments of the present invention include sawing kerfs between semiconductor device boundaries on opposite sides of the wafer and filling the kerfs with mold compound. The devices may then be sawed into individual packaged devices encapsulated in mold compound. In one embodiment, kerfs on opposite sides of the wafer have different widths to create a step in the wafer boundary with the mold compound, which improves the integrity of the package. In one embodiment, a device and one or more neighboring devices are bonded together using bond wires to form a group of device that are encapsulated in mold compound.

    Abstract: This invention relates to the use of a blend of polymers for the preparation of membranes to perform as the solid electrolyte for hydrogen and methanol fuel cells (FC), which operate at temperatures above 100° C. Said membranes should have as little permeability to the fuel and oxidant as possible and allow facile transport of protons; which results in more efficient electrochemical reactions and improved FC performance. During device operation, the membrane is exposed to aggressive chemical environments occurring at the electrodes, particularly at the cathode, where a highly oxidative environment is known to exist. Therefore, this invention claims hydrocarbon-based polymer blends that have improved resistance to said environments.

    Abstract: A multiplexed analog control system for an micro electromechanical systems (MEMS) array of electrostatic actuators, such as tiltable mirrors in an optical switch. Each actuator includes a variable gap capacitor formed as part of the movable mechanical element. A hold capacitor is connected to each actuator capacitor, and a selectable high-voltage inverter connects them to provide a bipolar drive signal of 50% duty cycle. A single power digital controlled current source is connected to all the drive circuits to provide a high-power correction signal. Address decoders enable a selected one of the drive circuits to add or subtract the correction from the hold capacitor.
