  • Publication number: 20130077443
Abstract: An oscillation device includes: a piezoelectric vibrator (110) in which electrode layers (112, 113) are formed over top and bottom surfaces of a piezoelectric layer (111); a vibrating member (120) having at least atop surface to which the piezoelectric vibrator (110) is bonded; and a resin member (130) formed continuously in a circumferential direction over at least the outer side surface of the piezoelectric vibrator (110). Therefore, since it is possible to increase the working area of the piezoelectric vibrator, it is possible to realize both an increase in the sound pressure level of the output and miniaturization of the apparatus.

  • Publication number: 20130064041
Abstract: In an oscillator (100), a plurality of piezoelectric vibrators (111 to 113) supported by vibrator support mechanisms (120) individually output highly directional sound waves. The plurality of piezoelectric vibrators (111 to 113) is formed by dividing a laminated body of an elastic member and a piezoelectric substance by the vibrator support mechanisms (120). Since it is not necessary to arrange the plurality of piezoelectric vibrators in a matrix, the entirety of a device can be small-sized. A sound deflection unit that deflects a sound wave which is output by at least one of the piezoelectric vibrators may be further included.

  • Publication number: 20130049876
Abstract: A second piezoelectric vibrator (30) is located in a hollow portion (21) of the first piezoelectric vibrator (20) when seen in a plan view. A support (40) is a frame-shaped member, and the inside surface thereof supports the edge of a vibration member (10). The fundamental resonance frequency of the first piezoelectric vibrator (20) is lower than the fundamental resonance frequency of the second piezoelectric vibrator (30). In addition, the second piezoelectric vibrator (30) overlaps a loop of vibration generated in the vibration member (10) when the first piezoelectric vibrator (20) is driven at the fundamental resonance frequency. Preferably, the center of the second piezoelectric vibrator (30) overlaps the center of a loop of vibration generated in the vibration member (10) by the first piezoelectric vibrator (20).

  • Publication number: 20130043766
Abstract: A viscoelastic body is interposed between a vibrating membrane vibrating in association with a piezoelectric vibrator composed of a piezoelectric element and a base and a support member supporting the vibrating membrane. The viscoelastic body attenuates vibration transmitted from the support member to the vibrating membrane and converts vibration of the vibrating membrane in the surface direction parallel to its main surfaces to vibration of the vibrating membrane in the direction nearly perpendicular to the surface direction. The vibrating membrane is annular with an opening at the center, and the base is joined to the vibrating membrane coaxially with opening.

  • Patent number: 8139762
Abstract: In a folding electronic device, a pair of micro-speakers is mounted in the upper housing, and a vibrating actuator is mounted in the lower housing. Both these micro-speakers and the vibrating actuator reproduce sound. The vibrating actuator causes the lower housing and external housing to vibrate, and in particular supplements the acoustic characteristics of the micro-speakers in the low-frequency region. Furthermore, in cases where sound is reproduced using the mobile terminal device constituting this electronic device, sound is reproduced by mounting the mobile terminal device in an external housing, charging device, or cradle.

  • Patent number: 8116506
Abstract: Arrangement of an internal component (not shown) arranged in the vicinity of the top side is different from that of the hinge side of an image element protective screen (2). An actuator (5) is fixed to the top side of the image element protective screen (2) and an actuator (4) is fixed to the hinge side of the image element protective screen (2). Since Arrangement of the internal component in the vicinity of the actuator is different, different sound pressure frequency characteristics or the like are experienced when each actuator is driven independently. When the actuators (4, 5) are driven simultaneously, sound pressure frequency characteristics and vibration frequency characteristics can be flattened. Isolation between the vibration speed of a vibrator near one actuator and the vibration speed of a vibrator in the region near the other actuator that are produced by respective actuators is set at 10 dB or above.

  • Publication number: 20090253471
Abstract: The present invention provides a portable terminal device, such as a portable telephone terminal device including a speaker sound hole in a case side and a main display portion in a case front, in which sound pressure of a terminal front direction can be increased. A sound generated from a speaker 103 accommodated in a case 1 is induced to a terminal side by a speaker sound hole 106. A convex portion 109 is formed in a case portion closer to a rear side than the speaker sound hole 106. The convex portion 109 serves as a sound barrier for preventing a sound ejected from the speaker sound hole 106 from being directed to a terminal rear direction. As a result, sound pressure of a terminal front direction is increased.
