Abstract: Provided are a cathode catalyst layer and a preparation method and use thereof, and a fuel cell. The method includes: mixing a catalyst, water, and an alcohol with a pore-forming agent to obtain a mixture; dispersing the mixture into a Nafion solution to obtain a slurry; and coating the slurry onto a surface of a diffusion layer to obtain a coated diffusion layer, and subjecting the coated diffusion layer to calcination and freeze-drying in sequence to obtain the cathode catalyst layer.

Abstract: A refillable container for a stick type cosmetic product comprising a cap, a refill cartridge and a base assembly. The base assembly comprises an outer shell and a button member. The refill cartridge is configured to be detachably received at least partially within a cavity of the outer shell of the base assembly such that the refill cartridge may be removed and replaced from said base assembly by pressing the button member provided in the base assembly.

Abstract: Methods, computer program products, and systems are presented. The methods include, for instance: collecting real time system statistics on a system environment in a remote platform running a remote data source amongst a plurality of remote data sources of a virtual database. Real time data source statistics on one or more data source objects from the remote data source of the virtual database is also gathered. A global catalog of the virtual database is updated with the real time system statistics and the real time data source statistics. An access plan to process a query to the virtual database is optimized based on the real time system statistics and the real time data source statistics and a response is produced based on the access plan, with improved performance and reduced cost.

Abstract: An applicator head for applying a product including a cosmetic, care, or pharmaceutical product onto the keratinous substrate. The applicator head includes an applying member elongated along a longitudinal axis. The applying member includes at least one sidewall and a distal end face that is inclined. The at least one sidewall has an extended portion that extends beyond the distal end face of the applying member. The extended portion peripherally encloses the distal end face to define a cavity at the distal end portion of the applying member. The cavity opens upwardly at a distal end of the applying member and has a closed bottom end that is defined by the distal end face of the applying member. The cavity is suitable for holding a cosmetic product. The extended portion is in form of multiple petals that surround the distal end face.

Abstract: A process for processing a rotary tillage blade for a dry farmland based a wasted steel rail is provided. The process specifically includes the following steps: selecting a waste annotated steel rail U71Mn or U75V; breaking the steel rail into a rail head, a rail web and a rail bottom in a cutting area by means of a flame cutting device and then cutting the steel rail; and applying a hydrostatic pressure to the steel rail by using a hydraulic machine to separate the rail head, the rail web and the rail bottom. The wasted steel rail can be processed into the rotary tillage blade for the dry farmland by means of methods such as segmenting, rolling, blanking, punching, electric furnace heating, bending, hot forging and thermal treatment. The surface hardness and a wear resistance value thereof are superior to those of an existing rotary tillage blade.

This pseudo-reference electrode can be used in ion-selective electrode (ISE) sensors and ion-selective field effect transistors (ISFETs).

Abstract: Disclosed are a method and system for modal prediction and analysis of a geotechnical engineering structure, which relate to the technical field of structural health monitoring of civil engineering. It solves various influencing elements that affect implementation of construction scheme during construction. The influencing elements comprise construction environment, load conditions, drainage and future precipitation. Taking the future precipitation as an example, the construction of geotechnical engineering structure will be affected in rainy days, even force data will change. The method comprises: obtaining force information of geotechnical engineering structure actually obtained and structural deformation data under different force information as training data; revising the analysis algorithm of geotechnical engineering structure based on the training data and actual data by applying a built neural network algorithm.

The applicator tip comprises two main application faces that are opposite to each other and a central through cavity that opens to the outside from both the main application faces. A memory system of some embodiments monitors power state change requests received by the memory system from a host system, and determines a pattern of power state change requests received from the host system. Based on the determined pattern, the memory system can decide to activate or deactivate a reduced power consumption mode on the memory system. A reduced power consumption mode can comprise a first set of operation parameters that cause a memory system to operate with lower power consumption than a second set of operation parameters associated with a current operation mode, where the current operation mode is associated with a current power state set or last requested by the host system.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method reduces the number of character set conversions in a distributed data virtualization system. The method includes receiving, from a first application, a first request for a set of data, including a requested codepage, stored in a first data source of a plurality of data sources. The method includes obtaining, by a connector, from the first data source, a first codepage associated with the first data source, which identifies a character set associated with the set of data. The method also includes adding a virtual coded character set identifier (VCCSID) in a first catalog entry of a catalog, wherein the first VCCSID is added to a nickname column of the catalog.
