  • Publication number: 20070198511
Abstract: A method, medium, and system retrieving a media file associated with a partial keyword which is generated by using a named entity extracted from the media file, when a query is received from a user, with the media file being associated with the partial keyword being retrieved by identifying the partial keyword associated with the query through speech recognition. That is, a media file may be retrieved by extracting the named entity from the media file, performing a word segmentation for the extracted named entity, generating the partial keyword from the word-segmented named entity, and retrieving the corresponding media file by using the partial keyword.

  • Publication number: 20060200347
Abstract: A user adaptive speech recognition method and apparatus is disclosed that controls user confirmation of a recognition candidate using a new threshold value adapted to a user. The user adaptive speech recognition method includes calculating a confidence score of a recognition candidate according to the result of speech recognition, setting a new threshold value adapted to the user based on a result of user confirmation of the recognition candidate and the confidence score of the recognition candidate, and outputting a corresponding recognition candidate as a result of the speech recognition if the calculated confidence score is higher than the new threshold value. Thus, the need for user confirmation of the result of speech recognition is reduced and the probability of speech recognition success is increased.

  • Publication number: 20050033574
Abstract: In order to handle portions of a recognized sentence having an error, a speaker or user is questioned about contents associated with the portions, and according to a user's answer a result is obtained. A speech recognition unit extracts a speech feature of a speech signal inputted from a user and finds a phoneme nearest to the speech feature to recognize a word. A recognition error determination unit finds a sentence confidence based on a confidence of the recognized word, performs examination of a semantic structure of a recognized sentence, and determines whether or not an error exists in the recognized sentence which is subject to speech recognition according to a predetermined criterion based on both the sentence confidence and a result of examining the semantic structure of the recognized sentence. Further, a meta-dialogue generation unit generates a question asking the user for additional information based on a content of a portion where the error exists and a type of the error.
