Abstract: The present disclosure described systems and methods for providing OTT services to a UE. An exemplary OTT-providing host computer includes a transceiver, a processor, and memory collective configured to provide the OTT service by initiating transmission of user data to the UE. To transmit the user data from the host computer to the wireless device, a network node sends a first control message for assigning a PDSCH, the first control message comprising a first MCS indication as described. The network node sends to the wireless device a second control message for assigning a PDSCH, the second control message comprising a second MCS indication as described. • Publication number: 20230067198
Abstract: In one aspect, a wireless device receives a scheduling grant and a grant confirmation signal indicating that a network node has performed a CCA on a carrier and is releasing the carrier for the wireless device. An uplink message is transmitted on the carrier without performing a CCA on the carrier. In another aspect, a wireless device is connected to a first cell and a second cell configured on a carrier requiring an LBT protocol. The wireless device receives configuration messages indicating that downlink transmissions on the second cell are to be scheduled. This can mean self-scheduling for downlink on the second cell and cross-carrier scheduling for uplink on the first cell. The wireless device receives a scheduling grant in the first cell and performs a CCA in the second cell. The wireless device then transmits an uplink message responsive to success of the CCA.

  • Publication number: 20220417928
Abstract: A base station is configured to transmit user data to a wireless device upon a first carrier. The base station identifies, from a set of transmission resources that is nominally allocated for transmission of user data upon the first carrier, a subset of transmission resources that is also nominally allocated for transmission of a reference or control signal either by the base station upon a second carrier or by a neighboring base station upon the first carrier. The base station selectively transmits user data to the wireless device upon the first carrier exclusive of this identified subset of transmission resources. The device in some embodiments obtains information indicating that the base station is selectively transmitting user data upon the first carrier exclusive of the subset in this way. Based on this information, the device recovers user data received upon the first carrier exclusive of the subset of transmission resources.

  • Patent number: 11528695
Abstract: A method performed by a first communication device for sending one or more control signals to a second communication device. The first communication device and the second communication device operate in a wireless communications network. The first communication device determines, during a first period, that a transmission medium is available for sending the one or more control signals to the second communication device. The first communication device then sends, to the second communication device, the one or more control signals along with a discovery signal, via the transmission medium. The discovery signal and the one or more control signals are sent without data after the first period. The first period is shorter than a second period for determining that the transmission medium is available for sending the data.
