  • Publication number: 20050155433
Abstract: A pressure sensor having a digital output includes a substrate formed with plural channels, and a gating part formed in such a way that an area confronting with the plural channels is spaced from the substrate and moved in response to an external pressure, thereby making the plural channels selectively conductive. Such a pressure sensor can obtain binary information of each channel from the fact that which is made to be conductive among the plural channels is determined by the movement of the area formed in the gating part to confront with the plural channels, and it is possible to measure a pressure within a set range from binary information of each of the plural channels. As a result, because a peripheral circuit of the pressure sensor can be simplified, the manufacturing costs and power consumption can be greatly reduced.

  • Publication number: 20050134444
Abstract: A tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) having a self-powered sensing module having a sensor unit with at least one sensor for measuring at least one of a temperature, a pressure, and an acceleration in the tire, and a power unit generating a power by being deformed mechanically according to a rotation of the tire and supplying the sensor with a power required for actuating the sensor. The self-powered sensing module and the TPMS using the same are powered by the power unit generating the power owing to the mechanical deformation, without using a separate power supply. Hence, there is no need to replace a battery of the sensing module and maintenance costs are reduced.

  • Patent number: 6071373
Abstract: A chemical bath of an overflow-type includes an inner bath which includes a plurality of holes on its sidewalls. The holes are formed in such a manner that they are spaced apart from the upper end of the inner bath at a predetermined distance. In this chemical bath, the chemical in the inner bath flows over the upper end of the inner bath into the outer bath and is simultaneously is discharged to the outer bath through the holes. Accordingly, unless either of the opposed sidewalls slopes lower than another by over a predetermined value, the chemical can flow continuously at nearly the same rate at both sidewalls of the inner bath. This reduces the difference of the etching rate between the respective wafers caused by the difference of the position of the wafers immersed in the chemical in the inner bath and leads to an improvement in the reliability of the etching process.
