The first slot-related channel sensing procedure may indicate time interval increments in which to perform the channel sensing. The UE may perform the first slot-related channel sensing procedure based on the indication. The UE may perform the first slot-related channel sensing procedure in the time interval increments of a sidelink resource pool to identify a first time-frequency resource of the sidelink resource pool that is available for transmission of a sidelink message.

    Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to millimeter wave (mmWave) device discovery for relay communication using pseudo-omnidirectional beams. A first user equipment (UE) may transmit a synchronization signal over each pseudo-omnidirectional beam to enable a second UE to discover a presence of the second UE within a range of the first UE. Upon the occurrence of an external event, a base station may either trigger a beam training procedure with the second UE to establish a relay link between the first and second UEs or broadcast a message to all UEs requesting a relay link be established with the first UE. The first and second UEs may then select a directional beam pair link (BPL) for the relay link and establish the relay link to enable information to be relayed between the base station and the first UE via the relay link.

A group wake-up signal parameter is a function of the zone ID information. A receiving user equipment (UE) may broadcast messages containing inter-UE cooperation (IUC) information using multiple beams. The IUC information transmitted on each beam may be different for each beam of the receiving UE. For example, each IUC information may contain different preferred resources or non-preferred resources for the receiving UE to receive a transmission from a transmitting UE. The transmitting UE may receive a message containing IUC information from one of the beams of the receiving UE and transmit a signal using resources based on the IUC information contained in the received message. In some examples, the transmitting UE may transmit a channel busy ratio (CBR) request to a receiving UE. The CBR request may specify a transmission configuration indicator (TCI) state, spatial relation, spatial domain filter, or beam according to which the receiving UE is to measure the CBR.
