  • Patent number: 6176826
Abstract: There is disclosed a home care system in which a center terminal and a patient terminal are detachably connected to each other through communication lines, such as a public telephone line, an ISDN (integrated services digital network), a CATV (cable television), a radio and the like, and further to center terminals and patient terminals which constitute such a home care system. The patient terminal has an urgency transmitter device for transmitting a predetermined urgency code to the center terminal, and the center terminal comprises an urgency receiver device for receiving, while connected to a first patient terminal, the urgency code transmitted from a second patient terminal, and an urgency alarm device for informing of the fact that the urgency code has been received.

  • Patent number: 4726060
Abstract: A line circuit for driving a ringer and a service indicating lamp in a telephone set, including a high frequency transformer (T.sub.2), a switching circuit (22) for intermittently disconnecting a D.C. voltage applied to the primary winding of the transformer (T.sub.2), and a control signal generating circuit (23). The control signal generating circuit generates a first control signal having high frequency and having a first duty ratio when the ringer is to be rung; and generates a second control signal having the same frequency but having a second duty ratio smaller than the first duty ratio when the service indicating lamp is to be lit. The first or the second control signal is applied to the switching circuit so that the high frequency transformer generates a ringing signal or a D.C. voltage to light the lamp. Since the high-frequency transformer is commonly used for generating the ringing signal and the D.C. voltage for the lamp, the line circuit can be made small and light.

  • Patent number: 4016083
Abstract: A spirally-wound membrane-type separator module capable of reversing the direction of liquid flow comprises an outer cylindrical pressure vessel, a spirally-wound membrane element disposed within said outer vessel and extending in the axial direction thereof, and a plurality of brine seals disposed in the annular space defined between the outer periphery of said membrane element and the inner periphery of said outer vessel, each brine seal including a ring-like portion fitted on the outer periphery of said element and a cup-shaped flange portion sealingly engaging the inner periphery of said outer vessel, said brine seals being arranged close to one another in the direction of axis of the element with the flange portions of the brine seals being directed in opposite directions.
