  • Publication number: 20110271659
Abstract: A temperature sensor includes temperature detecting means and at least one of a catalyst and an adsorbent applied to the surface of the temperature detecting means. At least one of the catalyst and the adsorbent catalyzes an exothermic reaction of a reactant in gas on the temperature detecting means. A temperature that is increased by the exothermic reaction is detected by the temperature detecting means. The catalytic efficiency for the exothermic reaction of at least one of the catalyst and the adsorbent is reduced by sulfur poisoning. The temperature sensor is disposed upstream of an exhaust purification system. Accordingly, it is determined that the temperature sensor is subjected to sulfur poisoning if the temperature detected by the temperature sensor is below a prescribed temperature.

  • Patent number: 6333467
Abstract: A flexible printed wiring board connectable with a connect or includes a cover coating and a base film. A patterned line array of plural lines are covered between the cover coating and the base film. The plural lines are arranged crosswise to a line longitudinal direction thereof. A terminal section is defined by extending the first insulator layer and the patterned line array from the second insulator layer in the line longitudinal direction, for partially uncovering the patterned line array for external connection. A white line-shaped indicia is disposed on a reinforcer plate at the base film and close to the terminal section, and adapted to positioning the terminal section in the connector.

  • Patent number: 5113265
Abstract: An apparatus determines a recording mode of a frequency-modulated video signal read out from a recording medium. The apparatus extracts, from demodulated video signals, pulse signals related to vertical and horizontal synchronization signals. With consideration of a period defined by these pulse signals, the apparatus sets a predetermined period, in which, a signal containing a sync tip frequency component of the frequency-modulated signal is counted to determine the recording mode depending on a resultant count.

  • Patent number: 4799387
Abstract: In an automatic ultrasonic testing method for automatically detecting an internal flaw of articles such as a solid-core station post insulator and a long-rod insulator in which ultrasonic noises are liable to be generated in ultrasonic testing waveform, use is made of a standard waveform having a plurality of maximum peak hold data in predetermined intervals at all the detecting points and obtained by detecting the normal article including the ultrasonic noises, with which ultrasonic testing waveforms of an article to be tested are compared. Therefore, it is possible to eliminate an instability of the ultrasonic testing waveform and to detect a flaw echo having a level lower than that of the ultrasonic noises.

  • Patent number: 4741936
Abstract: A process for the production of a multi-layer pipe to be used for formation of a bottle by draw-blow-forming, comprising forming by co-extrusion a pipe having inner and outer layers of a polyester composed mainly of ethylene terephthalate units and an intermediate layer of an oxygen-barrier resin interposed between the inner and outer layers, an adhesive resin layer is preferably interposed between every two adjacent layers. The co-extruded multi-layer pipe in the molten state so that the diameter of the pipe is sized is uniform. The process continues by cooling the outer portion of the molten multi-layer pipe by contact with water and simultaneously introducing an inert gas or an inert gas containing a water mist into the interior of the pipe to thereby cool the inner portion of the pipe and prevent oxidation in the pipe A.Multi-layer pipe prepared according to this process is excellent in the transparency and the draw-formability into a multi-layer drawn bottle.

  • Patent number: 4700871
Abstract: An improved liquid transfusing bottle made of flexible material of the type using no air venting needle. It includes a barrel portion, a shoulder portion and a bottom portion and parting lines extend on both the side faces in the vertical direction. The barrel portion is formed with ribs or recessed area of which contour line is so designed that a distance as measured from the parting line decreases toward the center part of the bottle from the shoulder portion or the bottom portion. As a residual volume of liquid in the bottle decreases, the barrel portion is deformed in the flattened configuration along the contour lines of the ribs or the recessed parts in such a manner that the shorter diameter thereof is reduced. Deformation of the barrel portion is achieved without any occurrence of twisting, breaking or the like of the bottle and liquid in the bottle is smoothly discharged therefrom at a constant speed during operation of transfusion.
