  • Patent number: 9100041
Abstract: A capacitance reduction circuit retains a conversion digital code of a previous sampling of an input signal of a delta-sigma modulated ADC and compares a set of least significant data bits and most significant bits of the conversion digital code to a least significant and a most significant boundary codes. When the least significant bits of the conversion digital code are less than or equal to the least significant boundary code or when the most significant bits of the conversion digital code are greater than or equal to the most significant boundary code, the capacitance reduction circuitry generates a capacitance reduction enable/disable code applied to multiple summation-quantization circuits to enable or disable groups of the multiple summation-quantization circuits bits to reduce capacitive loading of the outputs of delta-sigma modulator and an input signal to improve the total harmonic distortion and noise.

  • Publication number: 20140366594
Abstract: A cabinet lock for protecting merchandise within a merchandise display cabinet having an inner door and an outer door. The cabinet lock includes a strike plate affixed to the inner door and a lock housing affixed to the outer door such that the cabinet is in a locked configuration that prevents access to the merchandise when the lock housing is operably engaged to the strike plate. A programmable electronic key communicates a security code with the cabinet lock and transfers electrical power to the cabinet lock to operate a lock mechanism between the locked configuration and an unlocked configuration. An indicator is provided for indicating whether the cabinet lock is in the locked configuration or the unlocked configuration. The indicator includes a first segment and a second segment that can be energized to visually indicate the status of the cabinet lock.

  • Patent number: 8822900
Abstract: A photodetector includes a photodiode and output circuitry coupled to the photodiode. The photodetector is configurable for operation in at least two modes. A first configurable mode operates the photodetector as an integrating sensor. In this first mode, a bias voltage across the photodiode is set below the breakdown voltage of the photodiode and the output circuitry is configured to read an analog integration output voltage from the photodiode. A second configurable mode operates the photodetector as a single photon avalanche detector. In this second mode, the bias voltage across the photodiode is set above the breakdown voltage of the photodiode and the output circuitry is configured to read an avalanche output voltage.

  • Patent number: 8523012
Abstract: A merchandise display hook has a time delay mechanism for increasing the amount of time required to dispense items of merchandise from a display arm, while permitting bulk loading of the items of merchandise onto the display arm. The time delay mechanism includes a housing, a helix extending from the housing in a rearward direction, and a rotatable handle extending from the housing in a forward direction. Rotation of the handle causes the helix to rotate about the display arm to thereby dispense the items of merchandise from the display arm in the forward direction. The time delay mechanism further includes a lock mechanism having a secured position for attaching the time delay mechanism to the display arm and an unsecured position for allowing the time delay mechanism to be detached from the display arm to permit bulk loading.

  • Patent number: 8477222
Abstract: In a solid state image sensor having a pixel array, a first frame is imaged using varying exposure times in a series of zones. The exposure time for a subsequent frame is selected from the results of the first frame, The exposure times are controlled in a rolling blade manner by controlling the number of lines between reset and readout. The sensor is particularly suited to use in bar code readers.

  • Patent number: 8286454
Abstract: A locking device for a merchandise display hook has an upper rod disposed along a longitudinal axis and a lower rod disposed generally parallel to the longitudinal axis and the upper rod. The locking device includes a housing having a vertical slot adapted to receive the upper rod and the lower rod of the display hook. A bayonet is movable between a locked position in which a portion of the bayonet extends into the slot and restricts movement of at least one of the upper rod and the lower rod within the slot, and an unlocked position in which the bayonet does not extend into the slot and thereby permits movement of the upper rod and the lower rod within the slot. An elongate nose depending outwardly from the housing defines a channel that intersects the slot of the housing and receives the upper rod of the display hook with the upper rod and the lower rod disposed within the slot.

  • Patent number: 8120700
Abstract: An image sensor may have a power supply voltage regulator controlled by a feedback loop. The feedback signal may be derived by applying the supply voltage at a point distant from the voltage regulator to an analog-to-digital converter (ADC) which may be a spare channel of an ADC provided for the output of the pixel array. The digital feedback loop may be controlled via a chip I2C bus.

  • Publication number: 20110302504
Abstract: A proximity-based awareness system that includes a mobile computing device for each user and a system server in communication with the mobile devices. The system server may enable the user to create and edit a personal profile; broadcast the profile to another user; enable the user to search for and view another's personal profile and an event profile; bookmark an interesting event and an interesting user based on keywords; store a profile image or profile video associated with the user, and designate a virtual presence at a location. Each mobile device includes a processor that may determine the location of the user; provide an interface to enable the user to interact with the system server, transmit information to the system server, and display information received from the system server; and allow the user to enter keywords. As such, the system allows users to become aware of other nearby users.
