  • Publication number: 20180127760
Abstract: This disclosure concerns nucleic acid molecules and methods of use thereof for control of pathogens through RNA interference-mediated inhibition of target coding and transcribed non-coding sequences in pathogens. The disclosure also concerns methods for applying dsRNA through formulations and/or transgenic plants that express nucleic acid molecules useful for the control of pathogens, and the plant cells and plants obtained thereby.

  • Patent number: 9873883
Abstract: Provided are plants having glyphosate resistance comprising a nucleic acid encoding a polypeptide having at least 90% identity with SEQ ID NO:1, and parts, organs, seeds, and/or cells of such plants. Also provided are methods for making and growing such a plant, and methods of controlling weeds in a field or area under cultivation containing such plants. • Publication number: 20170211087
Abstract: The subject invention provides novel plants that are not only resistant to 2,4-D, but also to pyridyloxyacetate herbicides. Heretofore, there was no expectation or suggestion that a plant with both of these advantageous properties could be produced by the introduction of a single gene. The subject invention also includes plants that produce one or more enzymes of the subject invention “stacked” together with one or more other herbicide resistance genes. The subject invention enables novel combinations of herbicides to be used in new ways. Furthermore, the subject invention provides novel methods of preventing the development of, and controlling, strains of weeds that are resistant to one or more herbicides such as glyphosate. The preferred enzyme and gene for use according to the subject invention are referred to herein as AAD-12 (AryloxyAlkanoate Dioxygenase). This highly novel discovery is the basis of significant herbicide tolerant crop trait and selectable marker opportunities.

  • Patent number: 9382549
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to certain polypeptides derived from prokaryotic DGT enzymes, and nucleic acids useful in encoding the same, for example, novel polypeptides involved in metabolism of N-(phosphonomethyl) glycine, and nucleic acids encoding such polypeptides. In some examples, such a polypeptide confers (or increases) tolerance to glyphosate in a plant cell wherein the polypeptide is heterologously expressed, for example, without adversely affecting the binding of EPSP synthase with its natural substrate, phosphoenolpyruvate (PEP).
