  • Publication number: 20150003694
Abstract: Embodiments relate to segmenting blood vessels in angiogram images. An aspect includes a method that includes receiving and preprocessing at least one angiogram frame and preprocessing. In one embodiment, at least one angiogram frame is received and preprocessed. Bottom-up filtering of the preprocessed angiogram frame and top-down segmentation of the preprocessed angiogram frame are performed based on the results of the bottom-up filtering. The bottom-up filtering and the top-down segmentation are iteratively repeated until the difference between results of the top-down segmentation from consecutive iterations is equal to or below a threshold value. Based on determining that a difference between results of the top-down segmentation from consecutive iterations is below or equal to the threshold value, the results of the top-down segmentation are outputted.

  • Patent number: 8914868
Abstract: A technique that simplifies managing and configuring firewalls by provisioning a vendor-neutral firewall in an MPLS-VPN service network. In one example embodiment, this is accomplished by creating a vendor-neutral firewall policy using a service activation tool residing in a host server. One of the one or more VPNs requiring the provisioning of the vendor-neutral firewall in the MPLS-VPN service network is then selected. The created vendor-neutral firewall policy is then transformed to form a vendor-specific firewall policy associated with the selected one of the one or more VPNs.

  • Publication number: 20140237278
Abstract: Systems and methods of enabling power management in a micro server include providing multiple cores, a power management module coupled to the cores, and one or more peripherals coupled to the power management module. The power management module may be configured to cause the one or more peripherals to delay operations based on determining that the cores are in a first power consumption state, and place the cores in a second power consumption state for a predetermined time period. The second power consumption state may consume less power than the first power consumption state. The power management module may cause the one or more peripherals to resume their operations based on expiration of the predetermined time period and may place the cores in a third power consumption state based on the expiration of the time period.

  • Patent number: 8570342
Abstract: A method to adjust the colors of skin of a graphical user interface (GUI) of a customer relationship management (CRM) application based upon a color scheme of an operating system is provided. In the method, a color code of the color scheme of an operating system is fetched from a registry entry of the operating system and is saved as a base color. This color code is converted from ARGB format to RGB format and further converted from RGB format to HSL format. Different luminance values are set for various elements of the CRM application to provide different brightness and legibility to different elements of the GUI. The modified color code is converted back to RGB format and assigned to various pixels of GUI skin whereby the CRM application is rendered with new color scheme similar to that of the operating system.

  • Patent number: 8537813
Abstract: Middleware may accommodate both packet data and circuit data services in the same cellular telephone. A cellular telephone may travel between networks that are packet and circuit data service based. A protocol middleware may determine whether packet data services are available, and, if so, may determine the mobility management state of the system. Depending on the mobility management state of the system, inappropriate applications may be closed or suspended.

  • Patent number: 8327322
Abstract: The present invention provides a system and method for allowing integration of loosely coupled components for applications requiring templates and, more specifically, for utilizing the property broker and component technology to solve the missing sandbox model for Lotus Notes out of the box templates on the rich client. It utilizes the property broker and component technology so that components can communicate with one another as standard “out of the box” templates (such as Notes mail8.ntf and pernames.ntf) are allowed to publish properties automatically, e.g., when the selections in views/folders change. Customers are then allowed to define their own applications via an editor using pre-existing or “out of the box” components or custom components of disparate technologies. Component views from the out of the box templates can easily be reused by graphically dragging them from a component palette and dropping them onto the page.
