  • Patent number: 11062207
Abstract: Data indicative of a plurality of observations of an environment are received at a control system. Machine learning using deep reinforcement learning is applied to determine an action based on the observations. The deep reinforcement learning applies a convolutional neural network or a deep auto encoder to the observations and applies a training set to locate one or more regions having a higher reward. The action is applied to the environment. A reward token indicative of alignment between the action and a desired result is received. A policy parameter of the control system is updated based on the reward token. The updated policy parameter is applied to determine a subsequent action responsive to a subsequent observation.

  • Patent number: 10831096
Abstract: Vacuum-integrated photoresist-less methods and apparatuses for forming metal hardmasks can provide sub-30 nm patterning resolution. A metal-containing (e.g., metal salt or organometallic compound) film that is sensitive to a patterning agent is deposited on a semiconductor substrate. The metal-containing film is then patterned directly (i.e., without the use of a photoresist) by exposure to the patterning agent in a vacuum ambient to form the metal mask. For example, the metal-containing film is photosensitive and the patterning is conducted using sub-30 nm wavelength optical lithography, such as EUV lithography.

  • Publication number: 20200293910
Abstract: A sub-process sequence is identified from a temporal dataset. Based on time information, predictors are categorized as being available or not available during time periods. The predictors are used to make predictions of quantities that will occur in a future time period. The predictors are grouped into groups of a sequence of sub-processes, each including a grouping of one or more of the predictors. Information is output that allows a human being to modify the groups. The groups are finalized, responsive to any modifications. Prediction models are extracted based on dependencies between groups and sub-processes. A final predication model is determined based on a prediction model from the prediction models that best meets criteria. A dependency graph is generated based on the final prediction model. Information is output to display the final dependency graph for use by a user to adjust or not adjust elements of the sequential process.

  • Patent number: 10747535
Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods for processing load instructions are disclosed. A processor includes at least a data cache and a load queue for storing load instructions. The load queue includes poison indicators for load instructions waiting to reach non-speculative status. When a non-cacheable load instruction is speculatively executed, then the poison bit is automatically set for the load instruction. If a cacheable load instruction is speculatively executed, then the processor waits until detecting a first condition before setting the poison bit for the load instruction. The first condition may be detecting a cache line with data for the load instruction being evicted from the cache. If an ordering event occurs for a load instruction with a set poison bit, then the load instruction may be flushed and replayed. An ordering event may be a data barrier or a hazard on an older load targeting the same address as the load.

  • Patent number: 10733721
Abstract: A material characterization system includes an imaging unit, a material characterization controller, and an imaging unit controller. The electronic imaging unit generates a test image of a specimen composed of a material. The electronic material characterization controller determines values of a plurality of parameters and maps the parameters to corresponding ground truth labeled outputs. The mapped parameters are applied to at least one test image to predict a presence of at least one target attribute of the specimen in response to applying the learned parameters. The test image is convert to a selected output image format so as to generate a synthetic image including the predicted at least one attribute. The electronic imaging unit controller performs a material characterization analysis that characterizes the material of the specimen based on the predicted at least one attribute included in the synthetic image.
