  • Publication number: 20230383819
Abstract: A pattern for application to the face of the tensioner arm, guide or snubber in contact with a chain to intentionally break up the chain contact force between the back of the chain links and the tensioner arm, guide or snubber face. This is done to prevent alignment with the chain related orders which are causing NVH within the chain system or to increase overall NVH to obscure chain related orders.

  • Publication number: 20230252160
Abstract: A system is provided for simulating a cyberattack as a simulated cyberattack on a real industrial control facility that includes reals sensor devices. The system generates simulated sensor signals that are representative of sensor signals generated by a sensor of a real sensor device that is the target of the simulated cyberattack. The system injects the simulated sensor signals into the real sensor device so that the real sensor device generates an output based on the simulated sensor signals. The system monitors the response of a personnel of the industrial control facility. The system then generates an assessment of the response based on a target response. The system may rerun the simulated cyberattack based on the assessment.

  • Patent number: 11721239
Abstract: An incident simulation system supports an incident exercise in a virtual environment. The incident simulation system accesses a simulation plan defining an incident within a theater of operation. The incident simulation system simulates the incident exercise by displaying, to a participant in the incident exercise, images representing what the participant would see within the theater of operation as the participant moves within the theater of operation. The incident simulation system further simulates the incident by generating incident data indicating effects of the incident at target locations and at target times as the participant moves within the theater of operation. The incident simulation system further simulates the incident by displaying to the participant images representing the user experience that a detector would provide based on the generated incident data.

  • Publication number: 20230114099
Abstract: An incident exercise system supports an incident exercise. The incident exercise system accesses an exercise plan defining an incident within a theater of operation. The incident exercise system administers the incident exercise by generating detector signals factoring in incident effects and characteristic effects of the theater of operation. The incident exercise system sends detector signals to detectors that filter effect of background noise from the detector signals to generate filtered detector signals and output data derived from the filtered detector signals. The incident exercise system supports dynamically modifying the exercise plan during the incident exercise.

  • Publication number: 20220228198
Abstract: Methods for characterizing a population of microbes in a sample are described. The methods include: amplifying microbial polynucleotides obtained from the sample to form a plurality of amplicons and combining the amplicons with a plurality of microbeads, wherein each of the microbeads has a lanthanide spectral signature paired with the sequence of capture polynucleotides immobilized on the microbead. At least some of the capture polynucleotides comprise a sequence substantially complementary to a microbe-identifying sequence in one or more amplicons, such that at least some amplicons are captured onto beads by the capture polynucleotides and the microbe can be identified based on the lanthanide spectral signature of with which the capture polynucleotide is paired. Further described are methods for the identification of pathogens present in a sample by evaluating patterns of hybridization of a capture oligonucleotide to amplicons.

  • Patent number: 11300616
Abstract: A technique for non-invasively assessing current drawn by a device under test (DUT) by monitoring a supply voltage to the DUT. Frequency data for the DUT may be generated and used to form a current estimation model. First and second voltages are simultaneously measured using first and second test probes electrically connected to the DUT, while the first test probe is connected at a current source, and while the second test probe is connected at a DUT load that is configured to draw current from the current source. The current drawn by the DUT is then assessed by applying the current estimation model to the measured first and second voltages. In one case, the current drawn by the DUT is estimated without insertion of a circuit component into the DUT or extraction of a circuit conductor from the DUT.
