    Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs stored on a computer-readable storage medium, for video stabilization. In some implementations, a computer system obtains frames of a video captured by a recording device using an optical image stabilization (OIS) system. The computing system receives (i) OIS position data indicating positions of the OIS system during capture of the frames, and (ii) device position data indicating positions of the recording device during capture of the frames. The computing system determines a first transformation for a particular frame based on the OIS position data for the particular frame and device position data for the particular frame. The computing system determines a second transformation for the particular frame based on the first transformation and positions of the recording device occurring after capture of the particular frame. The computing system generates a stabilized version of the particular frame using the second transformation.

    Abstract: A device for stabilizing an image-capturing device against trembling and shaking includes a chip, an image sensor, a first connector, and a second connector. The image sensor collects light and converts same into an electrical signal. The first connector is used for receiving the electrical signal. The second connector is used for electrically coupling the first connector and the chip, wherein the second connector transmits the electrical signal to the chip. The stabilizing device is elastically suspended in place and tremors and shakes on the part of the stabilizing device are cancelled as they occur by reverse displacement based on magnetism and as controlled by Hall effect sensors. The chip can output control signal to the second connector, the second connector transmits the control signal to the first connector, the first connector transmits the control signal to the image sensor to control state of the image sensor.

A stacked thermal process module may include a stack of thermal process chambers and one or more generators of electromagnetic radiation. The electromagnetic radiation may be transported from a generator remote from the process chambers through one or more waveguides, thereby minimizing the volume and/or cleanroom footprint of the stacked thermal process chamber module. A waveguide may terminate in a process chamber so that electromagnetic radiation delivered during a thermal process may be coupled into one or more materials of the workpiece. The radiative heating process may overcome many of the limitations of thermal process chambers that instead employ a local heat source located within a process chamber.

    Abstract: Methods and apparatus for increasing voltage breakdown levels of an electrostatic chuck in a process chamber. A soft anodization layer with a thickness of greater than zero and less than approximately 10 microns is formed on an aluminum base of the electrostatic chuck. The soft anodization layer remains thermally elastic in a temperature range of approximately ?50 degrees Celsius to approximately 100 degrees Celsius. An alumina spray coating is then applied on the soft anodization layer. The soft anodization layer provides thermal stress relief between the aluminum base and the alumina spray coating to reduce/eliminate cracking caused by the thermal expansion rate differences between the aluminum base and the alumina spray coating.

    Abstract: The subject matter described in this disclosure can be embodied in methods and systems for stabilizing video. A computing system determines a stabilized location of a facial feature in a frame of video accounting for its location in a previous frame. The computing system determines a physical camera pose in virtual space and maps the frame into virtual space. The computing system determines an optimized virtual camera pose using an optimization process that determines (1) a difference between the stabilized location of the facial feature and a location of the facial feature when viewed from a potential virtual camera pose, (2) a difference between the potential virtual camera pose and a previous virtual camera pose, and (3) a difference between the potential virtual camera pose and the physical camera pose. The computing system generates the stabilized view of the frame using the optimized virtual camera pose.
