  • Publication number: 20110156630
Abstract: This invention provides a device and method for detecting a type of a fan. The device for detecting a type of a fan includes a detector and a voltage controller. The detector is used for detecting and comparing a control voltage with a reference voltage to generate a comparison signal and transmitting the comparison signal to the voltage controller. The voltage controller outputs a variable voltage or a constant voltage to a voltage input terminal of a fan according to the comparison signal. The voltage controller can include an integrator for integrating a modulation signal and outputting the variable voltage.

  • Publication number: 20100244774
Abstract: This invention discloses a power supply and a dual-chargeable battery pack therein, wherein the dual-chargeable battery pack comprises a main body provided with an electrical energy storage device, a first connecting device and a second connecting device. The first connecting device comprises a first charging terminal set and a first power output terminal set, wherein the first charging terminal set is configured to receive an input of a first power for outputting to the electrical energy storage device. The second connecting device comprises a second charging terminal set which is configured to receive an input of a second power for outputting to the electrical energy storage device. The electrical energy storage device is configured to output the electrical energy accumulated therein as a third power through the first power output terminal set. The second power is different than the first power.

  • Publication number: 20100152868
Abstract: A motion control servo loop apparatus, comprising: a feed-forward control module, and a proportional-integral-derivative (PID) control loop and a compensation adder. The feed-forward control module is capable of generating a feed-forward compensation. The PID control loop further comprises: a proportional control module, an integral control module and a derivative control module. The proportional control module is capable of generating a proportional compensation. The derivative control module is capable of generating a derivative compensation. The integral control module uses a digital differential analyzer (DDA) algorithm to perform integration for accumulated errors with respect to each sampling clock at each DDA pulse and thus output an accumulated error, which is then processed to generate an integral compensation.

  • Publication number: 20080280994
Abstract: The invention provides extracts of brown seaweed of the genus Ascophyllum that have valuable pharmacological properties. In particular, compositions of the invention are useful for e.g.: inhibiting alpha-glucosidase activity; preventing or treating conditions mediated by alpha-glucosidase activity; reducing blood glucose levels; preventing or treating diabetes; modulating glucose uptake in adipocytes; preventing or treating obesity; scavenging free radicals; stimulating the immune system; activating macrophages; preventing or treating condition mediated by macrophage activation; and modulating nitric oxide production by macrophages. Methods for using the Ascophyllum extracts of the invention are provided, as are kits comprising Ascophyllum extracts of the invention and instructions for using the extracts.

  • Publication number: 20080256519
Abstract: A tracking method for embedded systems is disclosed. A stacking way is used for viewing and tracing. In the beginning, a program counter (PC) and a stack segment of a function are found out. Then an instruction of the function is learned according to the stack segment and further stack size of the function is calculated. In accordance with the stack size, a stack frame is viewed to find out a recursive program counter of a previous function. Next according to the recursive program counter, an entry point of the previous function is calculated. Therefore, the system knows the memory block is required by which function and further finds out what causes computer shut-down or program errors. Moreover, stack status before the error occurred in the stack frame is got so as to get a returning path that enables the processor going back to status before the error occurred.
