  • Publication number: 20250106141
Abstract: Some embodiments provide a method for controlling flow processing by an edge cluster including a first edge machine set operating in a first location set of a public cloud and a second edge machine set operating in a second location set of the public cloud. A controller set configures first and second managed forwarding element (MFE) sets operating in the first and second location sets respectively, with first and second forwarding rule sets to respectively forward first and second flows sets to the first and second edge machine sets for performing services. The first forwarding rule set specifies a first network address set for the first edge machine set, and the second forwarding rule set specifies a second network address set for the second edge machine set. The controller set monitors each edge machine to determine whether it is available to perform the services.

  • Patent number: 12228448
Abstract: An optical detector module can be used to implement proximity sensing function by detecting ambient light outside of the optical detector module in accordance with a first detection threshold. An optical detector module can be further used to implement other active functions such as material detection (e.g., skin) or depth-sensing by emitting one or more optical signals (e.g., light pulses at a specific wavelength) and detecting the reflected optical signals relative to a second and/or third detection threshold. The disclosure provides technical solutions for actively monitoring detection threshold(s) of an optical detector module to achieve better power management. In some embodiments, such solutions are useful for photodetectors having a wide sensing bandwidth, such as a photodetector formed in germanium or a photodetector comprising an absorption region comprising germanium.

  • Publication number: 20250036437
Abstract: Some embodiments provide a method for configuring a first Pod in a container cluster to perform layer 7 (L7) services for a logical router. At a second Pod that performs logical forwarding operations for the logical router, the method receives configuration data for the logical router from a network management system that defines a logical network for which the logical router routes data messages and performs L7 services. The method provides a set of Pod definition data to a cluster controller to create the first Pod. After creation of the first Pod, the method provides to the first Pod (i) networking information to enable a connection between the first and second Pods and (ii) configuration data defining the L7 services for the first Pod to perform the L7 services on data traffic sent from the second Pod to the first Pod.

  • Publication number: 20250019234
Abstract: Thermal cracking of a hydrocarbon to produce hydrogen gas and carbon may be achieved by heating a molten medium to an operating temperature sufficient to thermally crack the hydrocarbon. The operating temperature may, for example, be in the range of 600° C. to 1100° C. The hydrocarbon is mixed into the heated molten medium the mixed fluid moves through a reactor. In the reactor, the hydrocarbon undergoes a thermal cracking reaction which forms hydrogen gas and carbon black. The carbon and hydrogen gas are separated from the molten medium. Means may be provided for controlling a level of mixed fluid in the reactor.

  • Publication number: 20240420453
Abstract: Techniques for generating synthetic data for machine learning (ML) models are described. A system includes a language model that processes a task and a corresponding set of example inputs to generate another input, referred to herein as a machine-generated data. The machine-generated data is processed using a ML, model (that data is being generated for) to determine a model output, and the model output is analyzed to determine whether it corresponds to a target output. If the model output corresponds to the target output, then the machine-generated data is added to the set of example inputs and one of the original example inputs is removed to generate an updated set of example inputs. The updated set can be used for various training techniques.

  • Publication number: 20240331686
Abstract: Techniques for determining and storing relevant context information for a user input, such as a spoken input, are described. In some embodiments, context information is determined to be relevant on an audio frame basis. Context scores for different types of context data (e.g., prior dialog turn data, user profile data, device information, etc.) are determined for individual audio frames corresponding to a spoken input. Based on the corresponding context scores, the most relevant context is stored in a local context cache. The local context cache is updated as subsequent audio frames, of the user input, are processed. The data stored in the context cache is provided to downstream components to perform tasks such as ASR, NLU and SLU.
