    Abstract: An imaging device and a control method thereof are provided. The control method is configured to control a first-frame timing of a first imaging sensor. The method includes: obtaining an estimated value of an operation latency time, and obtaining a candidate target timing; determining, based on a current timing, the estimated value of the operation latency time, and the candidate target timing, an additional delay time; executing an additional delay operation with a duration equal to the additional delay time; and triggering a first-frame acquisition operation of the first imaging sensor. The operation latency time is a total duration from triggering the first-frame acquisition operation to the first imaging sensor starting an exposure phase. The additional delay time is configured to enable a timing of a preset synchronization event of a first frame of the first imaging sensor to synchronize with the candidate target timing.

    Abstract: In absence of electrical approaches for realization of highly stable RF oscillator, opto-electronic oscillators (OEO) techniques are provided, where self-forced oscillation techniques using long optical delays demonstrate significant short-term and long-term frequency stability. Fully integrated opto-electronic oscillator chip (IOEC) may be the most efficient realization of an RF frequency synthesizer in terms of operation frequency (covering microwave and millimeter wave), size (<10 cm3), ruggedness to environmental effects of temperature (?40 to 80 C), vibration (up to 40 g), low timing jitter (<5 fs for 40 GHz carrier), and wall-plug efficiency (output power >10 dBm from under 1 W power). A free-running III-V (primarily InP) based multi-mode laser (MML) diodes is designed with large mode number (e.g., over 60 modes) and intermodal oscillation frequency compatible with desired RF carrier signal (e.g., 1-40 GHz).

    Abstract: Techniques for determining and using relevant prosody information for spoken language understanding (SLU) processing are described. In some embodiments, a system determines local prosody data for individual audio frames of input audio data representing a spoken input. The system also determines global prosody data based on the entire spoken input. A portion of the local prosody data is determined to be relevant for a respective audio frame. A portion of the global prosody data is determined to relevant for the spoken input. The relevant portions are used to determine at least an intent corresponding to the spoken input. Audio features corresponding to the input audio data may be used to determine relevant portions of the prosody data.

    Abstract: Thermal cracking of a hydrocarbon to produce hydrogen gas and carbon may be achieved by heating a molten medium to an operating temperature sufficient to thermally crack the hydrocarbon. The operating temperature may, for example, be in the range of 600° C. to 1100° C. The hydrocarbon is mixed into the heated molten medium the mixed fluid moves through a reactor. In the reactor, the hydrocarbon undergoes a thermal cracking reaction which forms hydrogen gas and carbon black. The carbon and hydrogen gas are separated from the molten medium. Means may be provided for controlling a level of mixed fluid in the reactor.

    Abstract: The present disclosure provides a device and method for diagnosing risk of insufficient hole cleaning problem during drilling wells. The method includes obtaining the measured pressure via several measuring points, and obtaining actually measured value of each measuring point; calculate the theoretical pressure at each measuring points by using the real-time operational data as inputs, evaluating a hole cleaning condition by applying a difference between a theoretical pressure drop and a measured pressure drop to a developed pressure driven hole cleaning model, which gives the risk of insufficient hole cleaning problems and problematic locations. The theoretical pressure drop between two adjacent measurement points along wellbore includes the pressure drop caused by friction effect and hydrostatic effect. However, suspended cuttings in actual drilling fluid may significantly change the pressure drop along wellbore.
